When 12.12 went live, we all saw and experienced a massive change to scav behaviors and ability – better aim, faster movement, better tactics, further engagement, etc.
However, BSG changed something else MAJOR with scavs, that make them even more difficult than we originally thought, and losing to them might not be for the reason you think.

That explains the time I nailed a scav in the chest from 10 feet away with a Mosin and he tanked it and ran up on me. Blasted me in the face with a shotgun and killed me. I figured I just sucked at the game lol
scav buffs are great, but they need to address their aerobics moves first.

This santa update is BULLSHIT. -1.5 scav rep for killing santa? He looked like a normal fucking scav. No hat no beard! And it was nighttime… turns out it was fuckin big sac santa. RIP my fence rep for the rest of the wipe. Guess I'll play another game. 🙂
This explains why when I hit a scav in the head with my melee weapon (35 damage), he didn't die. The little shit had 40 HP for his head. I was so stunned that I ended up with buckshot to the face.

Just had a game where a dude head shot me, no helmet, with the revolving shotgun from 8 meters away and it just did half my head health I healed up and he shot my leg and head again before I finished him
I ran into one of the super SCAVs on Customs yesterday. Just blasted away at him and he pretty much didn't flinch. Still full speed movement and all. Finally got around the side of him and piled about 10 more shots into him at close range to get the job done. he did not want to die.

I love this change! But to improve further on this concept, they should make scav bullets randomly do double damage.
I personally find 740hp scavs absolutely stupid. Nikita must've been very drunk when they decided to add this.

receiving such enormous damage and still just able to run it off… they should not be able to move like that anymore after the first shot…
