Is the Light Armor STILL going to be KING in the Brimstone update?

today I just want to take another look at the light armor changes coming to the next patch. In this video i will show you the changes with the dodge roll and compare it to medium and heavy and talk about if these changes are big enough to make light armor an invalid option in the upcoming meta.

  1. Unrelated: but defiance tree guard point abuse.. don’t pick aggressive shift can left click spam guard point.. pair this with heavy armor really hard to deal with.. 1v1… open world obviously can just walk away would be nice if a YouTuber addressed how to get around guard point abuse

  2. In the early stages of New World it felt like Kiting was a real skill, especially as non dex light armor who could only dodge once without running out of stamina on their 2nd dodge in row. Now it’s like the default gameplay and made so much easier with perks like Hearty and Shirking Energy. It’s a real shame. I’ve played a mage since the beginning and while it’s so much easier it feels so much worse because you basically don’t even have to think about it anymore and most people on my server are playing bow builds right now.

  3. Before I completely watch, my answer to the questions: "I sure hope not!" I strongly dislike the light armor meta for multiple reasons. But the largest being, it forces players into a player style that not all players enjoy. Not every player likes to be a fast nimble rogue/archer. Though I do not believe light armor deserves to be completely obsolete in certain play styles, it shouldn't be the dominate choice it is right now.

  4. I just hope they don't make it go back to mages wearing heavy again. I had heavy on as a mage earlier and it took forever to get 50k gold worth of light armor I don't mind changes but if I need to get a whole different set just to play again I'll prob go play mortal online 2 again.

  5. It's not king now. Makes for nice stat padding, but it doesn't win matches. With the 10th light mobility nerf in a row it's going to force everyone that was forced to change to light by previous nerfs to wasting time, coin and shards to go back to heavy yet again. Funny how bruiser's haven't had to go back and forth 50 times…they may have had changes, but nothing that's made them completely overhaul their gear. All other specs have. So now medium bruisers (which is what they already are) get a head start on being able to move to go after a light user, who has stam nerfed, dodge distances nerfed and on top of that, GA has a boatload of abilities to keep someone from running. Oh and an ability that charges a longer distance than Rapier's Fleche…No problem. We'll see how long it takes before they start crying about all the heavy mages with leeching gems standing their tanking them. We'll all just be heavy Great Sword users standing on point smashing buttons, because that makes for great game play for the devs, who have shown less than no skill in every video of them playing ever 😉

  6. Idk why do loads of nerfs on the release of a new weapon. See how it all plays into things first then go into nerfs so you waste less time back tracking on nerfs made too early

  7. The only way light armour gets balanced is stamina builds need reworking… this whole changing of distance isn’t changing gameplay. Nimble, hearty, shirking energy… need to be cut in half! Also light healers need a 10% nerf! Heavy and med make comebacks… ez

  8. Did you say healers are hard to kill? Really need a better build if you can't drop most healers. I play a healer and melee DPS and I can tell you if your build is right healers don't stand a chance 1v1. There are people who are just hard to kill period. Don't matter what they play.
