explainer: King Krista is a 1,000 years old after using the Namekian dragon balls of universe 6 for immortality (take that Frieza), on top of the almost millennium of training he has, he is also the father of Kale. Her berserker/Broly-esque state comes from Krista's bloodline, so he too has not only the same form as her, but what we saw was likely a mastered version of it where he can keep control. Goku, for this fight, is arguably not even as put together as his ToP self because he is training his Destruction powers. He doesn't enter any SSJ state because he is trying to maintain control so his Energy of Destruction doesn't consume him (as we get a taste of in this video). While MUI is a force, it was only once or twice Krista was able to better Goku. Chalk it up to luck, Roshi's "version/theory" of UI, or even Goku losing control of his MUI due to his Energy of Destruction interfering. These are just my thoughts on it.

The king landed a direct hit on Goku's Ultra Instinct form. Hmm. Ultra Instinct is already being nerfed.

idk if it all makes sense.. mastering ultra instinct is WAY harder than mastering god of destruction power, it's the upper level or state of divinity.
Ok I can see this if this is before Goku was locked in the hyperbolic time chamber but if itās after when goku is already half demon then this is way off. Goku has passed ultra instinct and has trained with demons. And thousands of hears in the time chamber. This is a different spin being that Goku was not a god of destruction when he fought grand Zeno.

An immortal Saiyan King. Give him Super Saiyan Blue and you will have an immortal god king.
It should be noted about this character.
An immortal king may not be allowed in the Tournament of Power. Given how Zamamu's immortality works, it may be considered cheating.
Goku is also stated to be heavily handicapped here. He can't use his actual powers because he will destroy the universe if he does. SSJ, SSJ Blue, etc. are all useless now because he is being forced by Vados to only use godly energies. Ultra Instinct is one of his godly powers.
Three, despite his progress, Jiren is still more powerful than a god of destruction, so, no, this king is not stronger than Jiren. He would've been wasted by Jiren, but, again, that's an unfair fight because the king is immortal. Technically, so is Goku, but that doesn't mean either is invulnerable like Zamasu.
Regardless of any reasons, the universes teams had to be comprised of mortals to give the "can't kill your opponent" rule actual weight. Again, we don't know if the king is immortal or simply unaging, but it probably doesn't matter either way. It would raise too many questions about whether or not it's cheating.
TLDR: In short, it was a tournament for mortals and the king clearly doesn't count.
