Yeah we brought our own ponchos from Amazon. We used them once during our week stay at Disneyworld in August. The other time it rained we just hung out in a store for a few minutes.
I had to stop watching… this was a really long video that was basically just an advertisement for their website / blog / newsletter. So much filler talk and selling. It seems like recently DFB videos spend a lot more time advertising themselves (which pushes me toward other channels that do not do this).
Why do people buy ponchos to stay dry but then go on water rides hoping to get wet?
Will you be able to exchange for a new poncho if yours rips?
This is why average families can’t even go to Disney world without spending there life savings , I get the supply and demand with the ponchos but damn 11-12$ mark up from original value . I’m all for capitalism but this is extortion and kinda seems bad on there end because they know parents will pay to keep there kids from the rain ..
my personal opinion I think big corporations can cut back and give back to the community some they already own the whole media , pretty sure Disney owns 200 companies as well.
Me and my kids have six flags ponchos that we brought with us on our trip. We are membership holders for six flags, so we are there a lot and got them for $6 each and they are made from good material.
Are you allowed to bring in snacks to the park? Like if I packed some protein bars and stuff

If you want to collect pressed "pennies" (they aren't usually actual pennies anymore), grab a little hand drill or metal punch and make them into earrings or bracelets.
I save money by picking out stuff I might like but I'm unsure of, and taking a picture of them. I'll go through the pictures later and delete the ones I decide not to get. And go back for the ones I want before I leave.

Buy Disney backpacks at Discount stores before your trip $30 otherwise $85 at DIsney.
Do prepaid VISA cards need to be purchased in the US? I'm thinking to pay for souvenirs and food, I can purchase VISA cards through the year when I have a little extra cash. Does Disney recognise Visa debit cards, or only Visa credit?
Buy Disney souvenirs at the stores outside the park. Ride bicycles to the entrance and park bike outside park. Bribe a disney cast member to get you in the park as family and friends. Eat all your meals outside or bring your own food. Stay in motel 6 in Kissimmee. Fly spirit airlines (not).

If you keep receipts from souvenirs like the balloon or the light up bubble things. If they break or pop that day. You can get a replacement for free.
I agree with a lot of the suggestions you made except for one. You said about snacks to order instacart to come to your room and that is very expensive because you have to buy a membership and the cheapest membership is 6 months for $200 plus there are still service fees and taxes and also if you're kind you will want to tip your delivery driver

I heard the balloons are a good idea to keep in your hotel room since the disney hotel air conditioning is a motion sensor and turns off while you’re asleep. The balloon moves around and therefore keeps the air conditioning on, keeping your room cool while you sleep. So buy it when ur leaving the park and keep it in the room. Hopefully it’s a tip that works.

Honestly out of all the merch that is at Disney, I always found the pins to be worth it. I can display them however I want and I got locking pin backs so I don't lose them. And they are small and easy to carry around whenever and to trade!
For flights clear out your search history before looking and look on the weekends. For some reason the flights are cheaper. Also the app Hopper is great for flights.
One word of advice, I just left the kingdom in Orlando two weeks ago. You will need a Genie+ Lightening pass for Epcot; specifically the Guardians of the Galaxy, Frozen Ever After, and Ratatouille rides. It is completely worth the purchase. You will not ride these rides without a pass. The lines are crazy without it. Also, Animal Kingdom is worth the purchase as well if you want to ride Avatar, The Navi River tour, Everest, The Safari Tour, or the Rapids rides. The wait times without a pass were crazy and we had a 10 minute or less wait with the pass for all rides. AND we were there during the weekdays – M-Th.
I say done with disney for the despicable way they treated Mr. DEPP! and he turned them down for a 6th Jack Sparrow movie, turned down $301 million…now THATS character!!!
