  1. They really need to add the ability to change the amount of rewards you can get for completing objectives in the difficulty selection. Because many of the awards especially Quicksilver take way too long to get early game since most of them are on timers and limited time missions. This would be good for players that still want a challenge and acquiring materials by making things more expensive while also making it a little easier to get a foothold in the early game. Cuz it's really annoying that it takes several weeks of grinding your weekly and daily missions just to buy one or two of the larger items in the Quicksilver shop or that freighter expeditions give relatively low rewards for the time you have to wait for them to complete making them an incredibly slow method for obtaining wealth despite the time they take. Same goes for pretty much every Quest or mission in the game as all of the money and rewards you get from those are considerably slower than you can get just from Trading and economy. They should also have a slider to change the wait times for the various game timers including freighter missions for players that want to get through the early game quickly without having to wait behind arbitrary timers

  2. Does the signal booster even really have a use anymore considering all EXO crafts can do the same thing with charts? Also they still really really need to make the autonomous mining unit and oxygen Harvesters portable. It still makes no sense that the oxygen Harvester cannot be picked up but the atmosphere Harvester can and the autonomous mining unit is pretty much completely useless due to its high crafting cost compared to the larger stationary base Harvesters. Automatic mining units are just too slow and too expensive to craft on the go

  3. I honestly think keeping technology and cargo separate was the right call but I think they should be on completely separate pages so that you can see your entire inventory on a single screen

  4. Interesting idea for money making that I’ve experimented with a bit: indium cycling. On my freighter I’ve got 4 refiners. I get 3 stacks of indium and chromatic metal, put one stack of each in 3 of the refiners. I use 2 to produce indium, and I use 1 to fuel the fourth refiner for more chromatic metal. Then take 3 of the 6 stacks of indium created and use them for the refiners along with the chromatic metal from the 3rd refiner.
It doesn’t make much but scaled up it could maybe create a bit of money.
Also leaving things in refiners has been fairly stable recently.

  5. I saw a bug that, when purchasing slots, one had to leave the transaction screen or one would purchase the same slot again. I wasted a good chunk of change before I noticed.

  6. The only problem I have with the inventory changes in the update is that yes, the upgrades you placed in cargo/inventory slots are returned, but you can no longer choose to trade some cargo capacity for added boosts. Yes, it may have allowed building abilities beyond what was intended, but it's not as if it was without a price.

  7. I decided it was a good point to uninstall. The game has had nothing for explorers for ages and now just trashes everyone's stuff for no reason. The game also became utterly empty when they turned every mode into creative with the difficulty buttons – why have money or challenge at all at this point? Its cheat mode for everybody and the game was already incredibly easy as it was…..oh yes and apparently nerfing the price of activated indium was needed….in a game that just got a button to make everything free.

  8. I would prefer not to have to scroll and being a relative newcomer I didn't need all that extra storage ? And I class myself a hoarder 🤣🤦‍♂️. But my poor neutron cannon does 8 damage ( fully engineered)

  9. Thanks for your trademark smooth delivery and knowledge of the subject.
With so much being said on both sides, I am unsure if I will update my game.
Keep up the outstanding work sir.

  10. A lot of the "hate" seems to be from those who were bathing in a power fantasy from overstacking modules, unless a game is heading into end of life phase a power fantasy like NMS had should never be thought of as "meta" because change is inevitable. The single player mode is an opt out rather than a pure single player that can never be tainted by others.
The new system allows you to pack and unpack modules based on a situation (hazards) so you can continue being strong but have to work a tiny bit. They clearly want you to use the vehicles and freighter for long distance travel in space or planetside

  11. You mentioned the Stasis Device mega guide:

One of the single most useful guides I’ve ever seen! However, 4.0 has another effect:

Currently, harvest quantities are no longer affected by the Optical Drill module, and have been standardized across all plants. Every harvest is yielding 25-100 items meaning we will need exponentially more plants per 64 device run. I currently need 512 Star Bramble and Gamma Weed.

  12. To be honest, update 4.0 makes me less inclined to log in as none of the new features are enough to make me enthusiastic about the game. The game seems lost it's lustre even more.

  13. Worst update I have ever experienced. Making stuff harder to grind, nerfs are ok but erasing the material I have farmed is NOT ok. Lost about 3/4 of all my resources. All my x-upgrades are also gone.
I wonder how players would react if Grinding Gear Games just decided to erase 3/4 of all exalted orbs plus every other resource in Path of Exile.

  14. The patch note comment about not losing items isn't entirely true.
If you had items with limited stack sizes, like Life Support Gel, Unstable Plasma, Ion Batteries, or crafted Trade Goods in the Freighter Cargo inventory before the update and it was above the 'normal' inventory stack size, because Freighter Cargo allowed double stack sizes, all item stacks that were moved to the new Freighter inventory were reduced to the standard maximum.

  15. My activated Indium factory is no longer as good. But it still doesn't take away the fact that Activated Indium is an OP resource as it can significantly increase production of other resources when refining. But I am so grateful that Hello games nerfed Activated Indium. NMS was getting boring with such a cheap way to get rich. Now I can actually enjoy crafting as it will be more rewarding.
