Ale Be Back | Crossroads Inn (Part 1)

Crossroads Inn makes a triumphant return to the channel. My favorite, buggy, tavern management game opens its doors once again to some unsuspecting patrons. What’s new in Crossroads Inn? You’ll find out when I do.

Our new Crossroads Inn tavern begins with the basics. Somewhere to serve drinks. Somewhere to serve food. But when our first employee has an unpronounceable name, it starts to go downhill.

Crossroads Inn gameplay starts again here.

Crossroads Inn is a real-time management sim with role-playing games elements. The game consists of two unique modes offering totally different experiences.

In Sandbox mode gamers will focus solely on managing their business and economy – to build their very own tavern, hire and oversee staff, manage the supply chains and create new dish recipes. In Campaign mode, micromanagement is just a prelude to a rich story as the kingdom is in turmoil and a shift of power is expected. Your Inn will soon attract the attention of important political and military figures, who are desperately trying to hold on to the reins of power. Gamers will become part of a large-scale drama full of political intrigues, vivid characters, treacherous NPC’s and dangerous quests inspired by RPG games – You will even have a damsel in distress to save!

Real-time management sim and RPG in one!
Two distinct game modes: an epic Campaign mode with a non-linear story (12 different endings!) and nearly endless Sandbox mode dedicated to hardcore sim fans
A rich and detailed lore with feuding factions and powerful organizations – choose to forge alliances or work against others in an original low fantasy setting
Once in a lifetime culinary adventure designed in cooperation with the experts from Nerds’ Kitchen! Discover recipes, create new dishes and serve varied menus to attract different social groups
A complex tavern economy simulation with various groups of customers, special guests, unique and regular employees, dozens of resources and facilities to build and develop – all binded together with a network of reliances
Expanded in-game culinary recipes along with a fully developed nutritional system created to influence relationships with different guests and fractions
Extensive in-game editor that allows to fully modify game and to create your own campaigns, scenarios and adventures with access to all game assets

  1. Oh Dave, I've missed this! If its still the same, you should be able to select furniture (like the shelves) and hold ctrl to move them closer together and improve the space for pathing a bit. Looking forward to more fun with this. Thanks and have a good one.

  2. Dave: A big pouch… that sounds like a personal problem you should talk to your doctor about that.
Me: Just don't ask the doctors at Dave's Awesome Clinic for People Who Have Booboos and a Desire to Die – they kill people for less than a small pouch there! πŸ˜‰

  4. Everyone can pronounce 's' followed by 'v'. It's a perfectly normal English combination in word combos eg. "clematis vine". A double 'r' is of course bog-standard English, and is hardly any different from a single 'r'. Lastly, words with two 'r' sounds separated by a consonant are totally standard in English too – eg. rare, rarified, rural, roar, rear. It's mildly offensive when people simulate these problems with putting standard English phonemes together, it suggests "your language isn't worth the courtesy of sounding out, while mine is". The word 'Sverrir' is basically included in the pronunciation of the phrase "it'S VERY Ripe". I like your stuff, but this is a pet hate of mine.

  5. I loved this game, but OMG the pathing! Once your tavern gets to a certain size, everything grinds to a halt because half of your employees just sit around doing nothing, hung up on doorways or never coming off of their break time. And hiring more employees just seems to exacerbate the problem. This game would be amazing, if they could just fix it so that your employees actually did their jobs.

  6. >_<

There I am. Innocently killing of the native wildlife of whatever planet I'm on in Satisfactory when I do a double take, "You're Accountant is what now!?"

    My responses were multifold:
    1) How have I not seen that clip yet?
    2) Once I watch Part 2 of this I must clearly track down Prison Architect.
