  1. For filling out early fleets, I love to build Wolf Packs. Fly an Apogee myself and sourround it with 9 to 12 Wolfs
From there I usually add more Apogee's, Salvage Rigs, Fuel and Storage
Full on explore and loot 😀

  2. You could in theory boost your income at the beginning by turning in AI cores to TriTach, along with your reputation with them. Gamma cores aren't worth much anyway and more will turn up.
Is Nexerelin turning down the drop rate for cores or was it another mod? I forget.

  3. When you were looking for your abadoned storage base:
Dont you find in many games you need a way to take notes in the game to remind you of things?
    Stuff stored there.
    Good shipwreck here.
    Colonize this place.
@ XXXX Date/Time dont forget to do this.
Im amazed that gaming developers dont look into adding a notes feature. Its like my cell phone. I find it easier to text myself reminders of drs appts, phone numbers, shopping lists

  4. @Rhad, as always please ignore what I'm saying if it's not addressed to you: I'm trying to clarify stuff for other potential players in my comments, mostly

IIRC F or G-class stars (yellow or yellow/orange) are the best for m-class (human-inhabitable) planet discoveries; low-end K-type white stars are also fairly good: in this way the game mirrors RL somewhat. IIRC somewhere ingame that Sol (a G-class star IRL that may show up randomly during sector generation) has an m-class planet (Earth/Terra/WHY) that's rated at 100% or slightly higher (maybe as far as 150%, but I'd expect 125%; can't remember offhand), so that should give players a RL 'known' benchmark to measure from WRT colonising

BTW as you say the 'Hull Restoration' ability is still stupidly OP even with the latest tech rework, as it can passively remove D-mods from your active fleet /even if the ships are mothballed/!

Drones are unmanned fighters; fighters are manned. An important distinction if you care about crew numbers (& its related player abilities)

  5. @Rhadamant I'm doing a Kite Only run, and I have a question, what is the fastest (in combat) ship that you know of in Starsector. According to the rules, I can have 1 non- kite ship in my fleet, and I need something, both tanky, and fast. I need something to pin down the enemy.

  6. Its interesting to see chat voting on how you shouldnmove forward but man I grind my teeth at seeing all the orbital station & exploration missions fly by with inefficient fleet picks, still great series
