The in-game start date for the episode was in the year 0 I guess.

So, I think Brennan is doing great, if you want to see more of his DMing you can watch Dimension 20 on the Dropout streaming service. I usually don’t like to promote paid services here, but as a Dropout subscriber, I’ll say it’s been worth it for me, not only for Dimension 20, but Game Changers and Um Actually. So maybe get Dropout.

Any moments I missed? Feel free to post them here. Is it Thursday yet?

  2. man I would be so terrified if I was in Brennans shoes being given someone elses baby that has been crafted over the past decade and show this important time in its history its not like this is new this is events that have already happened in the cannon like I know that Matt probably would be fine with some stuff getting messed with but that is still a terrifying venture I would be so panicked so good so far

  3. I've never understood the claims that Critical Role's main campaigns are "scripted." However, this seems far more scripted, to the point that while it's very enjoyable, it's basically a partly-improvised theater piece, not a D&D game. That said, Luis in tears at around the 47:00 mark demonstrates just how invested they all are in it.

  4. “People who were given everything have never had to fight for what they have” says the woman who is a member of the ring of brass, grand daughter of the guy who lifted the city into the sky. Holds a massive party at her family mansion.

  5. Dear god, Brennan
Holy shit this episode went hard.
There was so much great stuff, but the conversation between Zerxus and, you know, fucking killed me. I love how it was portrayed and I hate myself for it, but the story just seems so plausible and makes sense that it's so hard to doubt it. Brennan really portrays the devil like I imagined it, and I certainly wouldn't be able to pull that off.
And I love how Zerxus handled it all. Maybe that's just my inner Oath of Redemption Paladin talking, but I really think what Zerxus did was the right thing to do, or at the very least understandable.
I expected to enjoy this mini campaign, but not to this extent. It just keeps on giving.
