Looking to uncover the ancient Mechanoid slaying weapons and technology used by the Ancient Super Soldiers, General Pain, Chainsaw Hands, and their surviving crew, set a one-way course for a distant Mechanoid planet to either die in a glorious last-stand, or finally discover a way to combat the machine menace.

Heavily inspired by the Matrix, Pacific Rim, and other man vs monster style end-of-the-world scenarios. The goal is to fight against unstoppable odds, with many Mechanoid mods and interactions, but without risking the life and humanity of your people. Fight proxity battles with mechs, remote controlled clones, and peak human physicality with downloaded Kung-fu, instead of the usual bionic supersoliders in power armour with charge rifles.

  2. Mr. Streamer you really want to get your hand on a bunch of brain template, especially the worker and psycaster ones. They are good. Also have you considered turning one of the psycaster into a technomancer? The reverse engineering of tech and the hacking (Haywire) would probably fit the theme and help you unlock tech locked behind tech prints.

  5. Alright, this series isn't for me. I enjoy the hard-core combat and the insane OP enemies and the rebuilding from the ashes, but ever episode for the past while has started with Mr. Streamer screaming at the comments and that's not the kind of energy I need. See you all next series

  7. When it's difficult you complain things are unfair, then when you finally level up your colony to actually stand a chance, you complain things are too easy. Perhaps my definition of 'casual' is a bit old-fashioned, but it generally doesn't include stressing out. When you're not stressing out you get bored, which is fine, but then you whinge about it. You're in a hell of your own making. Take it easy Sam, you've had a lot on lately! Meanwhile in sam/balancing.c:

  16. 25:36 so I know that Cortical Stacks are a pretty low chance of spawning, but wouldn't have it been good to check the bodies before forcibly nuking the potential to get some extra stacks for free? The story teller was just trying to help you out but noooooo, Rimworld isn't hard enough.

  18. 15: 09 For getting Chainsaw Hands into the mech, perhaps Vanilla Books Expanded could help? Get a writing desk set up, have someone write a book on shooting, and then have Chainsaw Hands read it to train her skill?

  25. Idea: give Chainsaw Hands arm prosthetics in every iteration. You yourself said chainsaw hands is an idea. If the person representing the idea doesn't have some kind of mechanical hands to begin with, how much is that idea really worth?
