  1. Build Boosters and Starships in Boca. Launch and recover the Booster at KSC instead of a barge. The Starship makes as many orbits as needed to align with KSC and recover there. You have just done a Starship full stack test and delivery it all in one step.

  2. I like your content until you make a silly statement such as saying $110 USD for something like 200Mbps is pretty good. Sure if you have no choice, but usually when you have no choice you also don't have $110 USD to spend on internet. Even if you do have a choice, many families don't have $110 USD to spend on internet.

    So no it's not pretty good and I've always seen this endeavor as strange, because it WILL be the most expensive internet on the earth because it needs many thousands of satellites to run it. It's either that or SpaceX needs to eat about, I don't know a few hundred billion dollars in losses?

    As an example, I have a 500Mbps/500Mbps service and it costs me $50 USD/mo. I could probably renegotiate that bill and get it down to $40 USD depending on current deals the company is running. And this is a typical cost in this area for different services, bringing 500Mbps to 1Gbps service to homes, and services that are as lowly as 200Mbps might be $35 to $40 USD/mo. and I can't for the LIFE of me see a person here, dealing with inflation sucking their wallets dry, wanting to fork out over 2X the cost for internet, ALONG with have to pay out $2500 USD for equipment, when the typical installation fee is at most $50 USD in this area for fiber optic connections. THAT is a pretty darn good service. Starlink in this area is CRAP.

    I particularly liked your review of various propulsion systems a few weeks ago. It was a great survey, but you didn't mention light sails. 😉
    Someday, I would like to see a review of various launch technologies other than chemical rockets. These would include things like magnetic catapults and mass drivers, to the distant future space elevators.

  5. At the rate things are going Elon will have a Raptor 3 ready. I think Elon shot for too big. Even if he just upscaled the Falcon 9 from 9 Merlin to 9 much larger Raptor 2 engines. Then the second stage would be a single Vacuum Raptor 2 engine. Then put a similar landing gear on the 1st and 2nd stage like the Falcon 9 Booster has, but the second stage would be half the length. Ditch the grid fins. Use the landing gears as flaps to control the decent and slow it as they could have a lot of surface area. Then put a large style fairing on it and a heat shield between the fairing and the 2nd stage. The larger heat shield will also help slow it.

    The catching and the belly flop are just too dangerous and restrict is uses and the massive heat shield along the side and big fins just add far too much weight. Think of a thicker, but not really taller Falcon 9 made of stainless steel rings and using Meth/LOX. Overall it should handle about 2-2.5 times the cargo of the Falcon 9 or about 40 tons to LEO. With the 1st, 2nd, and fairing being re-usable the costs should come down significantly.

    I think the edges of the fairings could be made into flaps so the fairing could be controlled to glide down to a landing to make the easier to recover. It would add VERY little to the weight and the control could be GPS guided.

    I think if he went this small he could have had several test launches by now and be putting StarLink 2.0 up already. With a current Falcon 9 being 3.7m and an oversized fairing of 4.6m the new larger Falcon 10 would be around 5.85m wide and the oversized fairing would be at least 7.3m across but likely to fit a large enough head shield to protect the second stage might require a 8m or so fairing to cover it. The StarLink 2 needs a 7.6m fairing to fit and weight wise it can lift 30 easy.

    The height of the rocket would be almost the same except adding the difference in the height of the engines. This would leave it short enough to use current launch systems too

Thanks<, for the update I always appreciate the insight. <I'm really blown away by the fact that having watched your videos for so long, I had the same opinion that you are putting forth in this video. <The sudden plunge in the crypto market is being attributed to the Fed’s expected interest rate hike in September. Bitcoin is on a uptrend and has dropped by 4% in the past 24 hours, the key areas of support are the 0.5 Fibonacci level from the low in June to recent high. The second level is in the golden pocket region around $20.5k. I think bitcoin will continue its wild swings between $19 -24.5K the market dynamics of the last few days, as of now, two significant developments are on the horizon for bitcoin. My hope is that by the fourth quarter, the economy will be slowing enough that the Fed says we are going to pause, and then you will see the next crypto cycle start. I have witnessed the last 3 cycles and just before each bull run the amount of bear posts and negativity around crypto is just like it is now. Bitcoin is entering the area of where a bottom will be formed IMO. Please note this could take months and there will likely be further volatility in both directions. Despite the volatility that has ruled the market this year, being a retail trader in the crypto market and implementing strategies/signals from Randy Philip a professional broker/tradr that has been my mentor, I have accumulated 17’.8 btc! in profits although the rates are capricious wiping out some of my profits, people who are open to learning from history, will survive It’s not that difficult.     There Only 8 years, & 65 Billion Over Budget. To get to There First Test flight. And only enough engines for Three Flights Total. And the Factory & People Who Made Them are " ALL " Gone.

  8. Watching that last Delta IV Heavy launch. That was incredible, ULA really improved their stream quality, providing uninterrupted footage straight from cameras mounted to the rocket, not unlike SpaceX has been doing. Much more interesting to watch than their legacy animated simulation of the telemetry data. Watching the RL-10 nozzle extension deploy was very cool!

  9. Thanks Marcus. nice update. connecting lots of Starships together would make sense for long duration trips. they could possibly make them specific to tasks, like accomodation, messing, navigation, cargo, etc. Might make for happier people, which is the most important thing (I think)?

  10. Webb has been such a disappointment thus far. That image of Neptune for example, which is relatively close, is a blurry mess and only marginally better than images from 40 years ago. This is a telescope that has been 20 years in the making with current day state-of-the-art technology costing billions.

  11. Back then, I used to think that the booster will be just an easy task for SpaceX because it's just like a large Falcon 9. But now, it's seems it's as hard as the Starship. It's natural that they needed more iteration of the Booster. Because if Elon wanted this to be like a reusable airplane, it has to undergo a lot of test since there is no escape system
