  1. There should be an option for either battery option. Visually impaired people or dyslexic people, people that like to roughly glance at the battery bar may prefer the graph whilst others may prefer the percentage without the graph.

  2. In my experience, 16.1 made me more aware about my battery percentage. Because when I'm so focused at the content I'm viewing, I could still "see" the battery icon in my peripheral vision.
With 16.0, the battery icon always looks full in my peripheral vision, resulting in me not even bothering to check the battery percentage at all.

That's the reason android users have 2, battery icon that shrinks, and percentage. The icon is for peripheral vision, so you notice your battery even without directly looking. The percentage is to let you know the exact amount.

The 16.1, for me. gives me both info at a very small space.

  3. I totally agree. If you turn on percentage, then it must be because the color scaling is not enough for you. Combining both just makes it more cluttered and messy, as well as hard to read when it overlaps. Apple is listen too much to their customers. Miss the old Apple, a company that had opinions that you either love or hate. Now it's just another computer and mobile phone company.

  4. For a while I definitely thought my phone battery was full when it definitely wasn't quite regularly on the 16.0 beta, it took a while to disassociate the full battery icon with a full battery.

There's a certain level of cognitive dissonance when you see a full icon which you know from experience means a full battery, but a number that isn't 100%

  5. I kinda was thinking about the battery indicator only changing colors but I kinda wanted it to reflect how full it was but knew this would happens where it would be impossible to read

  6. I liked the idea of it and was happy to turn it on. And now it fucks me up. For some reason my brain totally ignores the % numbers and I think it’s full, cause the battery is always full. For a quick sec I think I have a full joint and then get saddened lol.

  7. I love the simplified version too. It’s so clean and for some reason doesn’t make me anxious about the battery drain as much. I hope they will give us an option to switch between different kinds of icons, but yeah, Apple and customizations are not best friends

  8. I like the way the Apple Watch complication displays the battery. There's a number surrounded by a ring. As the battery percentage, the amount of ring shown is eaten way, giving you a visual indication of the battery that doesn't obscure the number.
