The True Meaning Behind The Venga Boys' Lyrics.

I’m sorry, I just had to do this. I love this Vengaboys song. How can you not be happy when the Vengabus is in town?! This is a 90s hit. Let’s have a look at this Dutch classic together and really examine the true meaning of this song. I think you’ll be surprised to learn about some of the hidden truths within in, disguised by excellent choreography.

  1. The thing about the Vengaboys is that if you split their songs into Choruses, verses, and instrumental bits, they’re all basically interchangeable with each other which makes them wonderful to DJ with from personal experience.

  2. I think the song you were looking for was "Too Many Broken Hearts" by Jason Donovan…so kind of Kylie by association.

Although it also sounds like "When The Going Gets Tough" as well.

  3. Lol! I used this song in dance class warm up in the late 1990’s.

In my opinion, it sounds reminiscent of When the Going Gets Tough – Billy Ocean:
I got something to tell you
    I got something to say
I'm gonna put this dream in motion
I Never let nothing stand in my way
    When the going gets tough
    The tough get going

  4. Hi Justin, that ‘I’ve got something to tell you…’ bit reminds me of the first verse of ‘When the going gets tough’ by Billy Ocean. Besides this, have you seen that fantastic video from Louis Cole, ‘I’m tight’? Bet you have… Anyways, thanks for this great channel, love it❤

  5. Wow, 1998, I never realized it was that long.

To show how long ago that was, back then I was still in primary school, now I am 31 years old, Divorced, Mortgage, Car and 2 kids, my eldest child is now in High School, time really does fly.

  6. After listening to Justin play the song through the guitar, I've come to a realization that the Phineas and Ferb song Gitchee Gitchee Goo has the same melody as the Vengaboys😂. The more you know~
