  1. Dr. Doom literally created a near perfect reality. Imagine a world that never needs Galactus to devour a world, killing billions of people. That’s a world Doom made when he had godlike power, and then Reed reverted everything to normal except for certain things, but he decided it’s better force Galactus to kill billions.

Also if I’m not wrong Bas also look over every possibility and said the ones where Doom is in control tend to be the best for humanity. Also Myphisto literally has to taint peoples souls in Latvaria to make them vote against Doom. It’s literally stated by Myphisto that if he didn’t corrupt people to vote against Doom then Doom would be have 100% of the votes every year. What’s even worse is that even after Myphisto’s tampering Doom still wins in the largest landslides ever; I think his lowest turnout was like 80%.

  2. In my eyes, Doctor Doom has always been the perfect anti hero in Marvel. Yes. He has done some really bad things, but most of that stuff was either in defense or the betterment of his own country, or because of his rivalry with Reed Richards. When it comes to Latveria and its people, there is nothing Doom won't do to protect them. He is fully unwavering in his convictions, even to the point that, I believe, could be wrong, Zarathos just completely ignores him most of the time. Hell, there's a point where he's told by one of the many omniscient beings in Marvel(forget who) that if he conquered Earth, it would be a utopia

  3. There was a Time when Gwenpool had Meta Powers and Tried to Kill Dr. Doom, but Doom was a Good Guy at the time so Gwen Reached Into Doom, Pulled out the Classic Doom and Basically Erased Him From the Marvel Comics Universe. 15 Minutes later He Comes Back. He was Literally Written Out Of the Comics and He Just Comes Back Like it was a Minor inconvenience

  4. Yeah, Dr Doom is a weird case, where his name is a dead give-away that he's supposed to be a villain, but the inconsistent portrayal of him, leads to many people believing that he's a good guy. Which is weird, because any characterization of him, has him being irrationally full of himself with a greater ego than vegeta and unbelievably petty.

I especially hate the way his fictional country is portrayed and the way that the people think of him there. If they ever want to make doom more believable, they need to give him a huge "nerf", as in keep his huge ego, but make him less like he deserves it.
If there were people he imprisoned for being critical of him, latveria would be much more believable.
