Oblivion continues, as a treasure hunt takes a sinister turn, and I start to plan the world’s most elaborate inverted-prison-break…

I knew I recognised this ghost quest, it’s the one my Xbox 360 died on after over 300 hours in Oblivion, red ring of death 💀
I love seeing Jon play Oblivion so much 😭
The portal to the best part of the game was right there on his screen in the middle of the lake outside of Bravil and he didn't notice.
John when closing oblivion gates if you jump off into the fire it closes quicker
Creepy murderers in Bravil just throw the bodies in the water.
In all the prison mess it said "Your killing has been observed by forces unknown". So yes. And the questline is definitely good.
Can’t wait for the dark brotherhood quests!
The Dark Brotherhood came to me and I had not 'Murdered' anyone.
I may have accidentally killed (Manslaughter) 'The Collector' during a dungeon crawl.
Also being a killer means you are unworthy of the Armour of the Crusader.
Actually, Jon, in the timeline of Oblivion the Empire recently annexed Elsweyr and officially made it an Imperial province. They're not 100% happy about it.
Hey folks: does anyone know which difficulty setting Jon is using for this playthrough?
Absolutely best series on the Interwebs at the moment – without a doubt! <3
It is sunday you hero! Grant the blacksmith a day of rest.
Interrupting the Holy Quest of Goodness for the Holy Good Guy Equipment to go join the murder cult is peak Jon and I love it.
Hmmm running Knights of the Nine quests in parallel with Dark Brotherhood. Confusion to the gods, both Aedra and Daedra.
My new headcanon is that the system Shadowmarks that were see the Thieves' Guild using in Skyrim (set 200 years after Oblivion) were invented in direct response to Jon accidentally breaking into other thieves' houses.
I love how Jon consistently just hunts for creepy murder basements every episode. The main plot is just a distraction from the basement prowling.
Im loving the play threw. Its amazing seeing someone play for the first time. Great videos john
"Behold the power of my non-sexual magical pants!"
I just said that to my girlfriend. She tutted and rolled her eyes, before going back to her crossword. But, and this is important, she didn't throw her boots at me and order me to sleep on the couch, so progress, of sorts, has been made. Thanks, Jon!
Is it just me, or did he skip the captain's cabin on the Emma May?
Hey John, as you have a creepy murder basement of your own can you use a spell to lure people in, and kill them there? You could build up quite a collection.
Thank you for the murder John I don't want to push you through the game but I needed you to get into the guild you'd already found fighters, mage and thief guilds now with the DB under your belt it might just be the arcane University (which I think is going to have a game mechanic you'll LOVE) then Cyrodiil is your oyster save shivering Isles for end game content partly for thematic story reasons partly it's because it's best to finish up the base game and get or Craft the gear/spells you'll need because that dlc is as beautiful as it is terrifying!
He is so close to the cheese I can smell it.
i cant believe he dropped 6100 gold on that cowl
Jon running around and killing people without pants on is the most Jon thing to ever Jon.
LUCKY to get that "+30 magicka" sigil stone… Later, they can be +50 (after lvl 17)! 😉
Comment for the algorithm.

you need a unqine items leveler mod … the power of quest reward items is based on the level when you get them
there is one quest you can only get by breaking into someones else
Jon doesn't seem to accept that fire atronach is not good anymore.
Nobody:…
Absolutely nobody: …
Jon: yeah, they MUST have a creepy murder basement
The color palette of Oblivion is just so much prettier than Skyrim. And Manheim Maulhand is about the best name I've ever heard. Sounds like the lead singer of a Krautmetal band.
The Dremora Mages have the best loot, try not to lose the bodies. They tend to have potions, scrolls , a staff and a sword.
Or you know, ignore all the enemies with the best loot in the game because its not like you are constantly complaining about a lack of money or anything. Just toss a zombie and run past, who needs enchanted swords, enchanted rings, high value to weight items like scrolls and potions, etc.
Business doors being locked is a pretty typical bug for the game. Generally you have to pick or spell your way in, or just use console to unlock them.
You actually got really lucky with the Mystic Emporium not being always locked.
Willpower has been drained, please visit a temple.
If I was gonna murder someone, it'd be the innkeeper in Hackdirt, the one who denied knowing about your fiances kidnapping.
Might want to hotkey that cowl in case you ever get tired of every npc glowing right in your face. That way you can just toggle it.
I'm late on this installment of Morrowind is good please go play it pt 20, so I will keep it quick and sloppy.
Boats, you would think that Bethesda had never been on a boat before because of how strangely they design them. Oblivion and Morrowind folloe a pretty similar philosophy, most boats are meant for small journeys into shallow areas, Oblivion's are only like this and it becomes a bit strange when you start to visit the great coastal trade hubs of Anvil and Leyawiin, as well as the capitol of the Empire. Meanwhile Skyrim's boats tend towards false viking tubs to grotesque monstrocities of completely blrached and lifeless wood which are floating garbagr trucks, they also tend to conveniently wreck by splitting perfectly in half. Like I said, Morrowind has tiny claustrophobic river boats, however it also has shipping boats (one of which you arrive on at the very beginning of the game), and small row boats which populate the narrow canals of Vivec. Unlike in Oblivion and implemented better than Skyrim, you can and should use these boats as travel across Vvardenfell and Solstheim. The only thing about Morrowind's boats which is unfortunate is that you can't captain one like you can in Daggerfall
Jon still hasn’t collected the ayeleid rune artifacts. I guess he’s got his priorities straight now
"The wood, would….
There actually is very good pre-set loot that can be missed in the gate outside kvatch
Jon: The commenters told me that electricity is good against ghosts, so I should use Shocking Touch!
Later, when Jon meets an actual ghost…
Jon: Aha, I know what I should do! Flame Touch!
The reason why the voice actors seem to change the way they speak after each line is because when recording they had all the individual lines of dialogue listed in alphabetical order. They had no idea which lines went together or what tone they should have over the days they recorded. That and the fact that most of the voice actors recorded lines for many npcs meant that the dialogue in oblivion is super wonky. Lol
Jon: makes magical pants of none sexyness. also Jon: wonders why he might subconsciously not want to wear them pants
I know that 21 is out and reading the title, it seems he gets into the Dark Brotherhood. I'm going to watch that but after watching this one, my first thought was that the kill he made in the dungeon wouldn't work because my failing memory told me that it has to be an unobserved murder. Then you get the "We know" note and then they come for you when you sleep. I know you can force the DB without doing that murder, but it seemed to me that he was trying to go about it the right way. And again, my memory might be faulty. Now off to watch the next part. I hope we see the "We know" note as it's the best note in the game in my opinion.
Jon the reason you weren't wearing you non sexual magical pants is because I believe when you enchant anything it is automatically unequipped, so you were never wearing them in the first place.
Jon you seriously need to Spam the sigil stones when you're pulling them out of the tower you'll get multiple stones and you'll be able to use those on your armor/weapons, It'll probably cut your time 1/2 to have a full set of enchanted gear
Lost it at "morning Steve, nice to see you again"
Raiders – lol!
