Hackett may have thought he was in Denver instead of Seattle? LOL
But if the Broncos truly believe that Russell Wilson is the guy, should you not let him try to run or throw for the first down instead of attempting a long field goal?
you try a 64 yard field goal only when you have no other options!
206
Fire him!
C'mon Rich no mention of the Fail Mary that Russell threw in that crazy stadium?!
Whose Nathaniel Hackett? (Sarcastic disclosed)
This is what happens when you have arrogant head coach’s thinking they know everything. Just like Carroll did in the Super Bowl!
All of us Twelves have heard for years you gotta run run run except when it counts the most! Some will learn and some will struggle with more competent people. Carroll’s only as good as his team is, the Hawks will struggle and it will be because of Carrolls control issues!
Good luck Rus you deserve better.
This episode was Shakepearian !!!
“Pete Carrol is chomping gum, acting 11, he’s almost 71” 🤣🤣
Yeah, but… Wilson probably wouldn't have got a first down. Hackett just didn't do a good job.
I know the least about football than anyone I couldn’t believe that stupid decision lol 🤦🏻♀️😂
Hacket’s ineptitude is palpable
The life of a football coach. People have 7 days to dissect every bad move you made. Coach Hackett has given ever sports outlet many hours of talking time this week.
Hackett is an egotistical moron. Denver is doomed
Think I almost fell asleep during this. Who can watch and listen to this guy talk and be entertained?
Good bashing, Rich. If there is a next time, I bet he will do it different. Denver should have won that game. The Seattle curse, LIVES !
Its not like Hackett has Nate Pederman
..Tim Couch..Mike Glennon or JP Losman as his startng qb..He was SB winner Russell Wilson..& he/Nate Hackett still ops for the kicker..The kicker !! To bail him out of the game ! Un-Friggn-Blievable ! DENs in for a LONG yr wth Hackett as HC…I think Elways as HC wouldve been a better HC choice..than Hackett
The O line will allow a career ending injury to # 3 and then what?
Stupid call
Imagine forcing your way out of a team because they wont “let you cook” only to go to a team that goes for a 64 yarder before letting you go for 4th and 5
I feel like the coach thinks a 64-yard field goal is difficult to make because it's difficult to kick that far. And his kicker could kick that far, so no worries, right? It's true that it's difficult to kick that far. But kicking from that distance is also extremely difficult because there's virtually no margin for error—the kick needs to be extremely straight, or else it's going to veer off before it gets to the goal posts.
It was Kam Chancellor who knocked the ball out of Calvin Johnsons hands at the goal line
If the kick was a foot to the right they would have heralded it as a great decision lol. Everyone acts like the fourth down play would have been an automatic first down
Remember; 3 time outs w/ 46 seconds left should be the Time Out to kick a FG, then if you miss, you leave Hawks with 45 seconds and force them to make a First down to end it, and he stop the clock with 2 time outs = YOU GET THE BALL BACK with 10+ seconds left. Hackett was senseless and not prepared. Then if all that's not enough, a 64 yard FG attempt in a OPEN AIR Stadium is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, and McManus was NOT as close as some are saying he was. Try 3+ yards short and wide left.
I’ve never heard Rich stutter and pause this much before. Holy hell.
The Geno smith love is over the top! He didn’t go out and throw for 350+ he threw for under 200. Seattle has the worst quarterback situation in the game. Full stop. Name 1 team who’d rather have Geno as their number #1 option. There isn’t one.
Kick it?!?! Kick what?
Eisen is so good at his job! Love watching him!
It's weird how Rich Eisen never once speculates that these otherwise inexplicable endings might be the result of pre-determined games. Even though it's the most obvious conclusion.
It really is wild to have done this. I guess I could get it if the dude has made 60+ yarders before. Even then it would be a stretch. But the idea you would rather try a 64 yarder than put the ball in the hands of the guy you just mortgaged the franchise for is wild.
Broncos didn't "trade everything for the guy" and this was definitely NOT "Russ' stadium anymore"
Mike Zimmer philosophy? We'll just field goal 'em to death! OOPS…my kicker missed AGAIN! Then NH doubles down in the Presser! Yikes…
Russ has to wave off an incompetent head coach in this scenario and just run a play. What the Christ ? Dumb coaches are stealing his career
He says "Geno Smith, playing like a deity…." That tickled me.
Senile Rich chatters
Russ has to be down cause he wanted all the control right? “They Running the same stuff we did” Tyler Lockett
