Tokyo Stations Yaesu Neighborhood has been undergoing a lot of changes since 2018 and today I break down the project redevelopment and show you the progress. There are 3 districts: A, B and C. District B and C and finish building and pre-open September 16, 2022. The building will fully open in 2023. District A will open in 2025 and there is less information on it at the moment. Currently JTB charging $500 Singapore dollar per pax to be registered for ERFS n $68 for visa application for the non guided free n easy tour. Basically own itinerary but need to book air ticket n hotel with them. The $500 is a real turn off.
Is cash still king in Japan? Visiting in 2023 for a couple of months and thinking of buying some Yen as the exchange rate is really good right now here in Australia.
I’m giving my pilgrimage to the land of the rising sun a miss. Costs $500 per person to apply for a cert before applying for a visa.
I know some of them are just not safe but I hate to see the old buildings torn down. They have so much character and charm. Luckily there are still plenty of areas that have them but eventually they'll go too I guess. The modern world.

Any plastic bottled water or uncarbonated drinks have to put magnesium sufate and sodium Chloride so because it stiffens the bottle so it won't collapse when capped. This is why I don't drink bottled water unless it's in a glass bottle.

I was told flight centre in Australia can organise visa via their office in Japan. I received a quote for full holiday minus airfare from jtb it was 2.5 times the price of organising it myself, I am expecting flight centre to be more competitive.

visit manila like bonifacio global city in taguig, and many places in metro manila, super modern city. all are beautiful, artsistic super modern. the venice canal inside the department store, really wow, only in the Philippines.
Japan is advanced in many ways, although sometimes left behind in rebuilding new, unique modern buildings. Some people might be very stubborn about selling their old and ugly properties.
Is there a way you can go to say city hall and talk to someone in city development maybe?? Or just try and talk to a area construction office maybe? I know things are different in Japan but maybe?

If the owners of the older buildings don't sell do they have to reinforce the buildings for earthquakes.
The Yaesu Exit was designed by the firm of Helmut Jahn, the Flash Gordon of postmodern architecture. Jahn was based in Chicago, and had a prolific career designing buildings all over the world, such as the United Terminal at O'Hare, the Messeturm in Frankfurt, and Bangkok's airport. He died in a tragic road crash while on his bicycle in 2021. He was a fascinating architect. His commission to redesign the Yaesu Exit was well-deserved.
Kinda sad that the trend is going to big streets for cars and big supermarket buildings everywhere in the world.
This is destroying small shops and small shopping streets and takes lots of nice places to walk trough away from people who don't want to use a car for every 5 meters they go.

I've never been to Japan in person. However, I have been using my VR headset along with 360 walkthrough apps through the past decade to look at Tokyo and Japan in general. What I find that is interesting is the fact since the pandemic has been cooling down lately. Tokyo itself is having a lot of contractions and renovations lately. Just recently I heard Shibuya station, and the surrounding buildings are being worked on. Can't wait to see what Tokyo looks like once I finally arrive.
