After a year, Eveningstar has grown significantly thanks to a windfall of treasure and the party’s political influences. However, Cormyr has been driven into a civil war. Whilst Queen Raedra tries to fight the Usurper Davian Cormaeril, she is plagued by a shadowy force of saboteurs, assassins, and thieves. The Heroes of Eveningstar – with the aid of their Spymistress, Willowsong – have learnt this group is a cult called The Thorns, and they serve the Green Dragon Shadowbriar. A mission is launched to storm their base of operations and seize any intelligence before it can be destroyed.
