Hearts of Iron IV – Montezuma's Revenge (Part 2)

A new acquaintance at PDXCon – the illustrious Stakuyi – told me a story about a ridiculously overpowered democratic Mexico in HoI4. After a little reading and verifying… yeah, this might be the most powerful democratic nation in the game. So! Let’s get an achievement by conquering the USA, shall we?

  1. Hey Pravus, I hope you see this. In the economic branch, go to the Agricultural Credit Bank side. While it might be weak in terms of infrastructure and lack of consumer goods reduction, you’ll have access to both the Ejidos for a 2% recruitable population and an advisor who can become the leader of Mexico. If you go full atheist state and select Vincente as your leader in the 1940 election, you can get an extra 30% factory output. He will also give you stability, which you’ll need to avoid a civil war when you go to war with the USA.

Edit: I also forgot Vincente can give you a reduction in consumer goods, though he gives communist support.

  2. Dude as spanish language is my mother language; I find it funny how you are butchering the names of the citys (i mean it's not wrong because spanish isn't your first language most likely) and i'm not really mad about it but still.

  3. I decided to experiment with this plan, turns out when Spain has two LEFT sides in the civil war you get two decisions to send guns. Both of them equally repeatable. I was able to finish my land doctrine before the end of 1937

  4. So I decided to try my own Mexico game and got a cool bug. The Republican spanish government somehow had a communist instead of anarchist Barcelona. I was allowed to keep giving arms to the Republican government and also to the communist government. Finished my army doctrine, almost finished the navy doctrine, got a 50 width cavalry mp division, and made a few other division templates.
