Rare! Freightliner Locomotive with Light Engines

Recorded on 10/9/2022
After having a great day at the Royal Adelaide Show with my family, when we took off in the car, I saw the Victoria Street (in Goodwood, SA) crossing was activated, I thought it was going to be a Belair commuter train. But… I saw one of the G&W locomotives, I made quick action and hit the record button, the second locomotive went through and it was one of the rare Freightliner locomotives (I don’t know if it’s rare, but I just call it that). After seeing it, when I got home, I went onto The Train Tracker South Australia Facebook page and what I was looking for and it was correct! The locomotives were ALF23/G533 (according to Facebook and I don’t know if this was just the G&W locomotive or it was both because the Freightliner locomotive did not have numbers on it or was not visible). I believe both of these locomotives were going to do some rescue mission up at Tailem Bend. I nearly missed this interesting catch though!

Also when my family arrived here and went to the Royal Adelaide Show, I heard a freight train, I think it had NR class locomotives due to the horn sounding simular to other NR classes, I did film it from Railway North Terrace, but I was not close enough to the tracks, the locomotives have gone by and seeing the container cars was hard due the trees blocking it, I did see part of the train though, when heading to Leader Street, I just saw the end of the train and one of the commuter tracks was heading to Seaford or Flinders. The freight train was a north bound one.
