  1. PL-15 broken battery was a big let down to this scenario, it was so dam close to as good as it could be made. Still thoroughly enjoyed this though, keep up the great work Cap and the Grim Reapers!

  2. Late to the comments, but THANK YOU for such an absolutely exhilarating show! My two suggestions for the next iteration are (1) fix the battery problem on the Chinese missiles (obviously) and (2) I still don't think you got the timing quite right at the start. I think the J20's need to attack and try to kill the AWACS well before the main attack is seen on any radar. The US would know that the AWACS were being attacked and would try to scramble everything, but they wouldn't know exactly where to send those planes if AWACS was shot down. Or maybe the CAP aircraft would go active radar and then see the attack coming? Might depend on whether the CAP was F-18's or F-35's, I suppose, given the different radar detection ranges.

  3. When I finally set aside the funds to play this game proper (as my UK friends would phrase it), this will be the last major game, this old man will play. I probably wont ever be good as these players, or perhaps I come closer in time, I definately can do funny, so long as this old man doesn't have a fart & fall out of my chair, and I break my right monkey hip. I'm uninsultable and I have a disfunctional filter (though it works around kids & Moms). Where I have played so many pew pew games 25 to 35 years ago, some being coin operated, this game and my research into it (inspired by this groups channels), has fascinated me. Now, I have a case of DCS crazy pants (my wheels are already off). I lost 154 lbs in a year, by my choice, perhaps this is a way to reward my self later this year.

  4. Got to give a shout out to Command: Modern Air Naval Operations for being the sort of game built for this type of scenario.

The year is 20XX, the day after tomorrow and the future has not worked out as humanity expected. Mini haggis is McDonalds most popular item, Tarantino is retiring, and the PRC has landed troops on Taiwan after blockading all trade.

The US Navy sends a carrier task force to escort a convoy full of weapons and a Marine Brigade to protect foreign nationals leaving Taiwan. The PRC makes the calculation that sinking a capitol ship or a troop convoy would trigger an unacceptable escalation, but sinking cargo, destroying escorts, and shooting down planes would more likely trigger a withdrawal. Also depleting the escorts of long range SAMs would force the convoy to turn around without sinking a single vessel.

  5. Hey, Cap. As always, great video. I have a suggestion for a future video. I'm an American, and as such, a huge F-22 fan. I know that the American military is a bit concerned about the F-22's, and similarly the F-35's range in the Pacific theater should hostilities break out with China. I would love to see you guys test a 5th gen strike along the Chinese coast using Raptors and Lightnings launched from say, Okinawa. I'd love to see some F-22 vs Mighty Dragon action (also, are the AIM-120D's working with the Raptor mod in game at the moment?). But primarily, I'd love to see if you guys could launch from Okinawa with external fuel tanks on the Raptor, link up with a tanker enroute, strike along the coast and make it back with fuel to spare. Thanks for considering this! – Brad

  6. The Chinese will not merely rely on land and sea based radars. It will rely mainly on sattelites.
The launch of multiple land based missiles will be immediately detected by american/european/ japanese/ S. Korean sattelites as well.
I'd say, the Chinese will use its militia fishing fleet to launch some of the anti-ship missiles to cut the striking distance.

  7. If the attack happens anywhere near Taiwan, you can be sure that Taiwan will join the defense of the American 7th fleet.
China's problem is that it has no allies in the region while the US ca rely on so many.

  8. Great job guys. Random request. Can you do a hypothetical straight fight between the French carrier is task force and rafales and accompanying weapons systems versus one of the British carriers and the f35s? Would be really interesting to see the difference in UK/ US tech versus French.

  9. Im not 100% on this but i did hear it somewhere on a military channel, the F35B in murder spec as we know negates stealth, this is the planes best weapon along with the best sensors in the world, now what i heard is that the F35B can use missiles fired from something else, they get in as stealthy as possible, pick a target for something like an F18 full of long range missiles well back out of the fight and off an enemies radar, the sensors on the F35 can then track the missile to the enemy, what i would do with the F35 is have half in stealth up close and half as bomb trucks sat well off the fight, obviously this will not be possible in DCS but im sure its a real thing, also i think i heard that most missiles fired from almost all platforms can be used like this, so land/sea and air. Im sure someone in comments will put me right if im wrong, and if we dont have this capability then why not????

  10. These battles have really cemented the fact in my mind that all other militaries on dcs have been buffed. While all US capabilities have been nerfed. Seems like someone doesn’t like the US.
I still very much enjoy your content just stating my observations.
Much like the superbness of the Russian equipment and pilots in game. We all now see that’s not true to life.

  11. might be a fun idea for a mission, a mighty dragon defects from inside china and has to make its way to Taiwan, dodging china's air defences. the Americans then come to help it escape perusing Chinese fighters
