The city burns and bleeds as it suffers the madness of King Louis XVI and his violent legions of automatons. Aegis, a mechanical masterpiece created by the engineer Vaucanson to be the queen’s bodyguard, must save the French Revolution in this challenging action-RPG.
Up against the king’s mechanical soldiers, deadly accuracy will be needed. String together dodges, parries, jumps and devastating attacks to fight your way through Paris. Every fight will test your nerve and requires excellent discipline, while the huge relentless machine bosses demand patience and skill.
Define your own style and upgrade your abilities as you progress through the game. You can play as a ruthless warrior, a hard-hitting bodyguard, a deadly dancer or a virtuoso of the elemental arts. Take advantage of a wide variety of weapons and skills to approach each fight in your own unique way.
Using carriages, grapples, secret passages, a detailed map, and other methods and tools you find along the way, explore a city experiencing its darkest days. Your grappling hook adds a new dimension to exploration and Paris’s verticality. Combined with your dash ability, it will provide access to all the city’s secrets across multiple levels you can explore over and over again.
You are one of the main characters of an alternative history where Paris is being choked by a tyrant king. Allies and enemies with unclear motives will cross your path, such as Marie-Antoinette, Lafayette and Robespierre. It’s up to you to cut a path through all the plotting and put an end to one man’s madness so that the French Revolution succeeds.

This is a review copy? no day 1 patch? wondering why the game did not like that you changed dlss etc settings!
IGN gave this game a 6 what the hell lol.
I mean it is visually very attractive… beautiful… the movements a tad jerky, but the fighting though quick, seems ok. I will keep watching to see if we get some more variety…

I recommend building a Ryzen spec'd instead of Intell this gen. With AM5 and Zen 4 releasing at the end of the month. With the specs I have seen from AMD they are about to blow Intell out of the water performance wise this gen.
When you were picking your class at the beginning I was really hoping you'd try out alchemy (even though I didn't know there would be a fire ball and chain) glad to see my instincts weren't wrong. Alchemy weapons do look really badass.
I feel like this game would have benefitted from having larger areas like in Dark Souls for more exploration, but it still looks like a lot of fun anyways.
REALLY wish this was available for ps4. It looks great.
I think you had a bug at the two doors. Because where the lady said she needed water, you needed to give her the water bottle. Otherwise really great LP as always. Little hint at the side, you can destroy the hanging bags, they always have items.
Man this game has a lot of potential to it I really like the dex build you are using so far and the weapons seem to have great variety!
Love to be able to jump into a fresh series with you…getting the game tomorrow.

I did not realize Steelrising was from Spiders. The levels look exactly like DS or Sekiro to me for some reason aside from the different setting. The combat feels fast. Looks fun in general.

This game can be easily cheesed with grenades and alchemy weapons, its really sad to see. I've seen late game bosses go down in less than a minute simply from easy to grind powerful bombs thrown to burn, freeze or just chunk health like its an robot made of paper.
Not sure about this game, it doesn't feel or look great to play. I guess i will wait until the price go way down to buy it if i ever do.

While I’m not quite tired of elden ring yet…that game is so big that by the time you play through it, you’ve forgotten things for ng+.
But this is arriving in the mail tomorrow and I’m here for it.
