A makeshift memorial has been created at a thrill ride in Orlando honoring 14-year-old Tyre Sampson, who died when he fell off the ride a month ago. A preliminary investigation shows Sampson’s seat had been adjusted – and that the gap between him, and the harness was twice the size of other seats. Florida investigators are now trying to determine who adjusted the seat and why state inspectors were not told.

BUT: Ultimately the riders operator should never have ley him on!
AndbNo seat belt?. Wow
Fat lad fell, no loss
Tyree we are so sorry that this happened to you from the Briggs and Lee family we're praying for you family and friends God has you now please rest in peace young man love you
This is awful 😖…terrible poor baby!
hi
Still liable.
it's a shame this happens I've been to fair grounds and small children are not being measured against the height mark they could flip out every safety measures should be taken height and even weight in a big girl and I went on a rude I was scared because the bar was to tight I felt it was going to pop up
That’s really messed up not good how u leave a minor do that it don’t matter how tall u are or how much u weigh like for real
Everything ok I just got out of
So sad all around fly high poor angel 🌿🕊
This is just unbelievably sad. My heart goes out to the family!
Awwwww
My heart breaks for Tyre & his family.💔🙏🏽 But I don't think the operator should be prosecuted for this. This was an accident. How do y'all know he didn't check him before that person started the recording? Tyre's friends didn't say they wasn't checked. People are seriously judging this incident off of what was shown in the video. If his seat was not checked why would he wait until he got to THE TOP & say his seat didn't feel right? Please, just pray for the family's strength.
#lawsuit
The ride's weight limit is 286 pounds. His dad said Tyre was 6'5" tall and weighed 340 pounds. He shouldn't have been allowed on the ride since he did not qualify per the height/weight restrictions. Sadly, he lost his life.
Weight is not the problem, in these seats,,,,im less than 200, and I almost slipped down those slippery seats,,,they lack restraints,,,,my condolences to the family,,,God bless you
A $20 seatbelt could have saved his life!! 😥😥 RIP TYREE!! 😥😥
Now this will be the Who did it and Why Blame Game. Everyone just needs to Own up to this!!! EVERYONE that played a work role behind the dynamics of how this big piece of equipment was to operate properly but had bootlegged manual adjustments and now NO ONE KNOWS what the right hand or left hand was suppose to be doing is senseless. The Orlando County Sheriff ruled this an ACCIDENT too soon before the investigation was conducted basically trying to make it seem as if this was an OPEN AND SHUT CASE. I wonder how he's feeling now? 🤔 🤢🤡🙀🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Rip🥺💔
From this point on don’t let anyone who don’t meet the weight requirements on the ride…. It’s that simple oohhh wait it’s racist a black fat kid died 🫠🙄
On top of everything, so they don't have to pay a lot, they hire very young people to manage the rides. Do they have scales to weight people? I doubt it. Do they have signs about weight? I doubt it. This is a human nightmare. I hope this family can one day get justice but we all know they won't get their son back. They deserve justice and everything they get. I'm glad lawyers are on this case.
The parents are ateast partially to blame for letting him get that fat.
I still pray for him and his family. Soon mothers day and fathers day will be here. I pray jesus give the parents strength to get through this.
Why yall let him get on
Omg!!! Saying the seat had been adjusted, and trying to figure out who adjusted it?
Omg
This is why weight restrictions and tighter safety regulations need to happen. The whole "if the restraint locks, you can ride" is the stupidest yet most common attitude I've seen.
Was not adjusted
Sue
His weight wasn't able to handle it all and the seat belt bro..lazy employees these days.
Mr sampson we respect you may you rest ib peice
That kid was just not big, he was HUGE. Idk how it would be possible for every amusement park, every ride.. basically everything everywhere to be prepared to people who are that much overweight.
Tyre 'the big n199a' Sampson
What would you be thinking when he fell I saw the video he fell like 60 feet he had such a big future he was crazy good at football and a seatbelt could have saved his life
you shouldn't have to worry about death at 14 this is Ridiculous
14 and 400lbs? Wtf. Why didnt they stop him from getting on?? Dont tell me it was because of fat shaming staff training ffs..
This was easily preventable employees should be aware of the rider safety requirements and enforce them and the space in between the seat was not safe for anyone to use.. everyone failed him RIP 🙏🏻
If they don't let him go he'll accuse the park of racism,so…whatever…
