I was at that Lawrence, Kansas gig as well. First time ever hearing Godflesh. What a mindblowing show! I always heard about the legend of Stull and the gateway to hell. The local grunge band Stick filmed a video there right around that time in late ‘93.
I went to see Godflesh in Chicago when they opened for Danzig. GF played 6 songs and left the venue. My friends and I only went to the show to see them and it was amazing.
I saw Godflesh in a tiny club in Moosic PA in the mid/ late 90’s. A friend of mine and I somehow convinced the owner of the club that they’d pack the place if he booked them knowing that that most likely wouldn’t be the case. There was maybe a dozen people there, as one would expect in a tiny town in Northeast PA. They came to the stage through the back door, played and walked right back out of the same door. To this day it’s one of the greatest shows I’ve ever been to. Crushing doesn’t come close to describing it. Justin Broadrick is one of the greats!

Justin has been a huge source of inspiration for me for a long time, I love the passion and excitement with which you both still talk about creating music/art. I love Justin's humility, just casually talking about having Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl as fan boys, and creating a song with Kirk Hammett while cooked.
These guys are wonderful talking together, super funny and informative. I've been listening to music from both of them for 30 years. I find Broadrick very inspiring. He's articulate and energetic in conversation, and the depth and breadth of his output is amazing.

i love Cevin with all my heart, is the pitch up at the end of questions a canadian thing… i noticed nardwar rocking it hard. it seems regional like its more subtle in alberta… which sounds a bit different. this seems like a Vancouver thing.
