Germans have the opposite of plot-armor.
It could be nice to make a video on Bir Hakeim
A series of rookie mistakes by Germans. Again.
4 torpedoes… damn. That is crazy.
Very well told one of my favorite stories
For another awesome and artistic representation of the Scharnhorst's sinking, watch this: https://youtu.be/SJrfklAAYfU
Awesome video, love to see a video on Admiral Scheer vs the Jervis Bay and her convoy. Or on the SMS Emden
What happened to the 10 destroyers ?
Fantastic video and production. Once again you hit the mark.
If you're a Captain or Admiral and the cold has a high chance of killing you anyway might as well be like British and Japanese admirals. If at least smarter than some Japanese admirals. Don't be like freaking Admiral Yamaguchi who'd go down with the ship when 1) you didn't really do anything wrong and 2) it's not that cold near Midway.
Amazing how accurate British naval gunnery was in WW2.
Massively excellent account old stick !
The German navy was not as radical as their land forces, which show. It’s amazing that the German navy didn’t make more hail Mary attacks
Fascinating…. astounding just how much of a beating it took to actually send Scharnhorst to the bottom! Intellectually, I know that's how it's supposed to work with battleships, but….holy crap!
Why do you think the Germans did not use planes to strike the convoy? The Germans have the worst naval command in history
Where did the German destroyers go? They just sail off the map and are forgotten?
Sad when political pressures demand the death of men. Reminds me of the reason for Japanese operation Ten-Go.
Opportune -my grandfather's ship
just read about this in the book Target Tirpitz and was wondering if there would be a video on it soon. Its also worth noting a fair amount of Scharnhorst's crew had been borrowed from Tirpitz, which had some impact on the morale back in the fjord.
2000 sailors only 37 picked up alive – Looks like British Navy made a warcrime there, waiting with rescue of german sailors over an hour, of course everyone froze to death in cold ocean
