A Detailed Look Into Predators, Prey & Wildlife | Botswana Wild Kingdom | Real Wild

This Real Wild compilation shares a detailed looked at wildlife in Botswana. Tswapong is unique in Botswana as its microclimate brings rain clouds and mist to the edge of the Kalahari. The spectacular cliffs of the sacred Tswapong Hills are home to a plethora of wildlife such as baboons, leopards, and hyenas, and, most of all, the rare and majestic black eagles. However, times are changing in the villages – with natives embracing the marvels that technology brings, will Tswapong’s wildlife lose their natural habitat?

Described as “the jewel” of the Kalahari, Okavango is a tranquil and isolated oasis set in Botswana’s unsympathetic desert. Home to many of Africa’s big predators and indigenous semi-nomadic tribes, the Okavango Delta is a unique natural resource and one of the largest deltas in the world. Fish, crocodiles, hippos, and antelope coexist in the delta, and the lion rules this kingdom. This is a rich but rare paradise, isolated by the watery wilderness of the delta. But will the recent discovery of tourism endanger the beating heart of Okavango?

Botswana’s dry salt flats in the middle of the savanna prove to be a tough place to survive, with no water for months on end, massive herds of Zebra and Wildebeests move along an ancient route dictated by the unpredictable flow of water. During the harsh arid months, the conflict between predator and prey rages on. This is the story of the unforgiving and abundant realities of the salt flats of Botswana.

  1. Wildlife in this region of Africa that has a very low human population will not be threatened by Human encroachment. There are thousands of square miles of territory for animals to live in.

  2. A rather detailed documentary. It is quite interesting to see the locals or village people the way of living the understanding of night n night creatures..n yea with growth comes much changes …hoping that the habitat will be preserved. It appears that these lions are much longer in size than those of SAfrica n other locations..what huge paws! Great knowledge n quite informative of the govt's interest in wildlife cattle farmers water supply…etc etc…thanks for video.

  3. This is a very well done documentary, of a terribly sad situation. Humans MUST stop encroaching on the territories of these other species on which our own ecosystems depend. When their habitat is lost, they will adapt to humans, creating new dangers for both.

The Earth will survive our extinction, and those of the species we take with us. New ecosystems will evolve, and the lands will continue to change…but we cannot survive without the Earth that gave birth to us all. Perhaps, one day, before it is too late for our species, enough of us will understand this.

We could turn our hands to nurturing the World we depend on, instead of waging war on each other…and the many species we share this Earth with.🖤🇨🇦

  4. There's such thing as 100,000 elephants in the region being an overpopulation?? Only politicians could utter such words. No, let's let man have it all, then in a few years, lose all the beautiful wildlife. Then they'll have to create a "preserve" for just 5,000 elephants that are left. Omg…
