  1. Nagash only lost because he had no idea who or how powerful sigmar was. If he had it would have been very different. Nagash had dealt with gods before and in my opinion is the single most powerful character in the entire warhammer world. He had turned himself litterally into the god of death and even controls the afterlife.

  2. I don't know about other folks but I can still remember (IIRC) when they played this whole story out as a campaign in the early 2000's. The results were averaged and that was where a lot of the minor wins/losses came from. The fluffy stuff they left to the writers, and of course the ending was always going to be the same but it was still really cool knowing we could influence the results of something big like an entire story narrative. Plus seeing the battles in person play out was really quite exhilarating.

  3. The only lore that's even more idiotic than the lore of Warhammer… is the lore of W40k. How can people enjoy this soulless, moronic cash-grab of a universe?

  4. Fun fact, the Orc Warboss Azhag the Slaughterer claimed Nagash’s Crown of Sorcery, the very crown shown here in this video, around the year 2512 IC.
Also, in the aftermath of the Battle of the River Reik between Sigmar and Nagash shown here, Sigmar would pursue Krell and the remnants of his Doomed Legion to the Battle of Glacier Lake where Sigmar would defeat and entomb Krell and his followers there until, centuries later, Heinrich Kemmler world arrive to resurrect to prop up his own flagging fortunes, when in reality he was merely guided there by Nagash to bring back an old commander of his.
Oh and Alaric the Mad, the Dwarf Runesmith who was present at the River Reik, would create the twelve Runefangs, each to equip the twelve Elector Counts of the Empire.

  5. I'm sorry to tell you this, but, you missed a very crucial particapant in the battle of Middenheim. Gerreon, the arch traitor and murderer of Sigmars only love, now going by the name Azazel. Not only was he there, he would see to the demise of yet another of Sigmars greatest firends, and would go on to mentor the very first Everchosen as the ultimate weapon of chaos. I know there was a lot to cover, but still, the arch traitors return must be mentioned.
