We wanted to find out if it was possible for phones to be both affordable and take great photos and videos. Keep in mind that both Apple and Google use machine learning and processing to counter the limitations from their tiny lenses and camera sensors. The results were surprising as one phone consistently did better than the other.

  1. My wife and I got the Google Pixel 3 when it came out. We LOVE the camera pictures. I show off the Night Sight pics all the time. I have pics taken at 2 AM where you can't see where you're going and the obstacles are lit up. You just have to hold the camera still for a few seconds.

  2. Nobody needs to shoot in 24fps. That's ancient technology that really had nothing to do with video quality; it was a cost-saving method. Shooting at 30 (or 60fps) gives you a much smoother video.

  3. Owned a pixel for the very first time in my life and I felt like google’s software is very experimental, bugs here and there, official update breaks stuff and When upgrading the software right out of the box it required a factory reset from the recovery mode after OTA update because it won’t let me boot in like what??? Was a big let down coming from an iPhone. I took the polished iOS for granted perhaps.

  4. I shall choose pixel 6a.. Because it has overall good camera. Has more cameras than iphone. Which are really important in photography. though its video quality is not so good but still decent. So I shall choose pixel 6a over iphone se. Thank you

  5. iPhone has iCloud which is great. Pages, Numbers are much better than Google documents and Google sheets. iPhone is safer for privacy and iPhone wallet is much better than Google wallet. The camera is much better in Google pixel except for the videos. On the iPhone the vocal dictation is much better and more precise than in Google and Android phones

  6. I was surprised to hear your conclusion after noticing your macbook air. I am glad that your personal brand preference didn't color your decision regarding the 2 phones. Thank you for an informative and unbiased comparison. I have always been impressed with the camera on friends iphones but have never been able to test or compare them myself.

  7. Great video and it would seem the 6A has the edge, but the IPhone isn't far behind. One other comment and this has nothing to do with the picture quality but more ergonomics – the IPhone SE is actually easier to hold, whereas the Google phone is bigger and probably more likely to be dropped especially if you are using one hand.

  8. Excellent presentation!

Comes down to this: take a lot of photos? get the 6A, take more videos than photos? get the SE 3.

Since I shoot way more videos than photos….see my profile photo??

I love the way colors pop with the SE 3. It's also a very handsome phone, particularly in the 'midnight' color.

  9. Even though SE has thick bezels i would choose it because of its compact size, even if it has single camera it is very good camera. I wanna try the latest iOS 16. I had seen a lot of videos about iOS also apple gives more years of major and security updates. And finally the most imp point It's the most affordable and new iphone. I like the 13 mini more but it's more pricey than it's orginal price in India.
Every apple product is more pricey in India. The SE base variant costs 551.86 dollars in India
