I love this version of Rwby, Grimm were always suppose to be intertwined with people as a manifestation of negative emotions and that feed off of their suffering, it makes sense that some can go directly for the mind, and that there are techniques that allow to combat them in the mindscape. That and the creative choices for stories have been something that fit the Rwby lore perfectly

Ruby really SHOULD have listened to Jaune and waited for Yang and Blake much earlier. Ruby's plan completely was entirely reckless despite claiming to not be reckless. Had Yang and Blake not had a legit timely arrival, Ruby and Jaune would have been dead.
