Video shows fatal beating in downtown Seattle

Video obtained by KOMO News shows the violent unprovoked attack earlier this month in downtown Seattle that left a man dead after he was attacked in broad daylight by a man he did not know.

In one instance, crews showed up to douse the flames at an encampment but instead were threatened by people wielding weapons, including a steel rebar club.

Deputies from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office were searching Friday for three armed men who barged into an Everett home early Friday before fatally shooting the woman during the home invasion, authorities said.

Before the school year begins, medical experts are calling on parents to talk with their kids about the dangers of vaping. It’s a dangerous habit that doctors say often sees an increase when school is back in session.

  1. its not uncommon unfortunately, I understand wanting to reduce prison pop but violent, possibly mentally ill, people need to be held away from society and either helped or kept away. there's stories like this all over California and more states especially after 2020 and corona. They need to hold up the laws or be replaced by those that will.

  2. That's exactly right Tammy we have what are called soft on crime judges basically who love to give sweetheart deals to people like this. Especially 16 year old kids that can go out and do that kind of stuff like this. And besides 3rd avenue between pine and Pike Street basically between union and pine Street basically been a threat to the community basically with these drug acts and drug dealers doing their business right there. And watch more disturbing is there is a wireless phone store if it sells throw away phones to drug dealers the homeless undocumented aliens from Mexico people who just have to come in to want to buy a phone. But he aren't just ordinary phones these are actually throw away phones. Let's not call them burner phones let's call them throw away phones. Because, all they do is this you go by the phone for sure like Metro by T-Mobile which is on 3rd avenue basically they get a phone number they use the phone and then in about a month later they throw it away. And nothing is to be done about it. And what's so frightening is these people give false names addresses and anything else they can think of to throw anyone off. basically they even throw the phone companies off. And that's got a lot of people really on edge. That is one reason why the last time I went downtown there were a couple of drug dealers standing right there at that particular store for drug services basically to buy and sell drugs. That's the problem we have right now. And not only that you've got open air drug deals along Westlake Park and Westlake center where the old Starbucks used to be and soon there's going to be an Open Air market right there at 6th avenue and pine Street possibly right in front of Nordstrom's. I basically this is why businesses in downtown Seattle leave for that reason! One reason is they do not want to get the burden of having to call the police and basically say I've got a drug deal with my front door. So now when you call the police to report a crime really you don't need to report a crime you just listen to a recorded message about the staffing shortages. And that's it basically it's telling you hey you're on your own don't call us basically call us later after something bad happens. Well it just took a murder downtown. But still nothing is going to be done. That is why I like Jonathan shows approach with his documentary called Seattle's unending drug crisis. And basically what I watched in that video exactly sums up why we need to do something about 3rd avenue between Pike and pine streets because basically I can tell you right now people are not going to want to come downtown anymore it just keeps happening. And on top of that if this also happens the only ones you'll see downtown are the homeless drug addicts prostitutes pimps you name it they're all going to be down there. I basically there isn't going to be anything we can do about it. And basically right now the police department their hands are tied right now. They can barely do anything. So that's why I think we need to start doing what we need to do to start telling our King county elected officials and the Seattle like the officials to start locking these drug dealers up. Because we don't start locking up these drug dealers like this 16 year old boy? Basically someone will die in downtown Seattle right there on 3rd avenue between Pike and Union Street or Pike and pine streets whichever comes first. And it's not just 3rd avenue and Pike Street it's just about everywhere in downtown Seattle belltown the pike pine core anywhere that's not going to happen. And basically I do agree with some people it's going to take more deaths to really get to Seattle City council to change. If they do not? Then more people will die. And there's going to be really nothing you can do about it actually. So basically what I'm saying is if you call the police to report a homicide you'll get a recorded message instead of an officer coming. And basically this is what's going to lead to Wallace's and vigilanteism. Because it won't be long now before we start seeing vigilantes come in and take over the town and really clean it up it's nobody else will!

  3. I continue to be amazed that these judges who are responsible for doling out punishment hold no culpability whatsoever when they screw up and allow violent criminals back out into the streets over and over. They should absolutely be held responsible for people that are injured or killed when these animals that they let back out into society commit more crimes.
