These are my impressions from playing FF XIII, honestly I slept on this game for years and I’m glad I’ve finally tackled it. The lore is rich, I can taste it! Hopefully this video can shed some light on Fabula Nova Crystallis for you on top of providing some insightful theory crafting material towards Kingdom Hearts! While I know KH won’t share a story with FFXIII, I do think FNC will have strong ties to KH going forward.

Fun fact in japanese version of Final Fantasy XIII we have the same concept of heart, soul and body.
In japanese version when Lightning faces Bhunivelse
Lightning: "You took Hope soul, but what did you do with his heart"
Bhunivelse: "Your hearts are invisible to me"
I have a feeling that Kingdom Hearts is still connected to Fabula Nova crystalis.
I mean Lightning reincarnating in our world clearly hints it.
Japanese love trains and often present them in spiritual meaning.

What's funny is, Sora literally looks like Hope in KH4. And The box (as what Luxord was told) has "hope" in it. Just the way things are set up so far, I'm feeling KH4 is going to be heavily based on FFv13 and FF13.

After seeing the yazora failure screen I had personal connections to FF13. Hype train!

I can't help but hear the god's name as Lindsay with a sassy tone and it makes it much better.
KH / FF lore is insane with its connections to norse, greek, ancient latin religions and belief systems. So cool.

Ff13 had so much cool stuff. The gameplay was just so boring and the story was unnecessarily complicated with dull characters… I really only liked lightning
I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one making connections with FNC. Like, most people made the connection with crystal stasis but there's SO MUCH stuff. "Oracle Drives" being "Books of Prophecies" in Japanese, "Focus" also sharing the same name as the roles given by the Master. Hearts being made of Chaos and returning to it upon death (just replace Chaos with darkness). The eyes of Etro being similar to the MoM's gazing eye. It can't be a coincidence.
I would also recommend delving into Type-0 since there has been some connections made by some people, notably the foretellers being similar to some members of class zero and the Daybreak Town pendulum being a 1:1 rectreation of a glass window from Type-0.

almost the whole team creating FF Versus 13 was the Kingdom Hearts team . btw the foretellers and MoM are FOR NOW the antagonist but I bet you a thousand bucks that theres is a new antagonist waiting in the shadows and will be reveal when the game releases, probably in its final world too.
You know honestly the crystal stasis material reminds me of what Xion was made of in 358 days. You should check out her cutscene called “tears”!

What drives me is that the story of Fabula Nova Crystallis and most of the Final Fantasy universes/worlds are heavily influenced by Gnostic texts. Shin Megami Tensei and Persona are the same way, but even more directly as the final boss is literally Yaldabaoth in P5 (Yaldabaoth would be the spiritual equivalent of Bhunivelze here). In a way they are telling a very truthful tale, not in terms of what really happened but in terms of what our spiritual masters have uncovered over the years.
You should do World of Final Fantasy ( WoFF ) and stranger of paradise parallels and other numora games. In Woff. There was a girl who time traveled and changed fate / history and was cursed by to become a demon and she lost her name and lives by doors and gates and able to summon people from other worlds including Sora and Cloud
