I think my favorite part of Triple Trouble is the fact that Tails, Knuckles, and Robotnik seem to actually want to help BF win against Sonic.exe, as you can only get rings during their sections, and if you have rings, you can survive for longer when missing notes. The part that really ties it together for me is the end of Robotnik’s section, where he laughs at the end of his turn, and BF laughs back, almost as if Robotnik’s trying to tell him “You’ve proven yourself kid, now get out there and finish the job!”
Edit: Another small detail from the mod that I like is that during Black Sun, the camera shifts in the direction of each arrow you hit
