  1. A somewhat unrelated situation… both times I've had blower motors go out, or major stone chips, it's always during the coldest and snowiest times of the year here in Michigan. Never fails! I have dual zone in my current 07 Accord EX-L and whatever inside the dash that controls the difference in temperatures between drivers side and passenger side sometimes gets stuck and starts to cook the passenger at full heat even when turned down to a low temperature. Perhaps it's the same piece that you replaced, though mine does seem to switch between the actual vent settings. I do hear the clicking noise that you mentioned. It sounds like someone typing on a keyboard. Granted, I have 668,000 miles on the car and weird things are to be expected…

  2. Not just because she is your mother but that car didn't involve a lot of labor to get to the parts. I never had to get a dashboard removed but I know it is a big expensive job. Also depending on the vehicle just being in there poking around you may accidentally cause electrical problems. That is because modern vehicles sometimes have a lot of complicated wiring and it is a nightmare to repair. You could easily forget to reconnect a wire and then have to remove the dashboard again when you realize what happened and I just know that it happened to at least one person having a bad day!!

  3. Beautiful car. In late 2023 I bought a 2008 civic from my cousin with 73k for a thousand dollars. It had been bumper bashed, front and back, semi – flooded and still had the original parts , – minus brakes. Also the dreaded Honda clear on the paint had been peeling for years. But the damn thing runs every day without a complaint and I can park it anywhere without about any damaged.
Good advice from the Wizard as always on what to buy.

  4. Having mode door actuator problems with my 2014 Chevy malibu. I have no idea how to get to it. Air keeps going to the floor and won't switch away from the floor. ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ซ

  5. As a detailer, these are the cars that excite me the most. Of course a fancy 15 year old Ferrari that looks brand new is nice, but you expect such an exotic car to look brand new. A commuter car still looking brand new of this age means someone can really appreciate simple but reliable cars

  6. Hey wizard! Odd question but I have a 2012 Honda accord that I had to buy a new hood for because it was stolen. I was wondering if you could send a picture or make a video of the washer fluid lines and how they run under the hood. I have no idea how to run them and cannot find any pictures online. Thank you and keep at it! Your channel is amazing!

  7. I had great success using softener sheets from the clothes dryer to deter rodents from project cars. Cheapest and stinkiest ones, tuck the sheets here and there under the hood and other rodent nesting spots. Replace every couple years.

  9. Yup, mine got stuck on head, which I'm fine with. It sometimes switches over but I'm scared to keep switching it, and at the moment, I can't afford to buy a new actuator for the vents
