Keep up the good work!
what a great solution! are there any non-Musk solutions for satellite internet on the go?
What is this? Everlanders without an AI thumbnail? I'll watch this right away.
New video! You made my day, heck you made my week! I'm still dreaming of getting on the road but until then thank you both for all of wonderful work you do!
This is so great, thank you for doing this!
oh wow
A very cool project! Nicely engineered! Loved the animation too. π
Sweeeet!!!!!! Thank You!
Thanks for the video, you're always making the coolest stuff!
Commented liked and subscribed!
Well done, I look forward to building this.
I commented on the Star-Batt video saying "I was hoping you were going to show us how to make that battery." I doubt that I influenced you doing this in any way, but I'm thrilled to see these innovative designs for DIYers. There's a lot of us in the overlander/van/rv DIY world and you've been a great inspiration.
How much runtime to do you get? Two hours of light usage?
Loved the 11%
Another excellent project. thank you!
Another brilliant design! Well done!
This is BY FAR my favorite channel on YouTube. I canβt click on the video fast enough.
Nicely done.πππΎππ»
Always learning something new here. Thank you!
Good to see a new quarterly video with a new passion project Everlanders.
Hope the world tour is going well for you down there…can't wait for more!
Fantastic!! Thank you for sharing.
If only the engineers from Starlink were watching and learning from these experiments. it would be a nice option to just snap on a rechargeable battery pack for a hike. I will probably build one to try out. thanks for thinking ahead
Awesome work!! I'd be very interested in the 16 AA battery version.
Super star stuf
Well done!
What a great project. I think you should do all the projects you mentioned.
… the last person on earth who doesn't know someone with at 3D printer….
That would be me. π€£π€£
Great Job.
Ever since I got my Mini few months ago for my 4×4 box truck, I'm thinking to build a slim waterproof box that can accomodate the dish, a modular battery like you designed + wireless charging , a foldable flexing solar panel and some waterproof ports (USBs, different charging socket types) and on/off switch.
This box must be tough and as tight as possible on the dish for back packing reasons.
Being waterproof, with a smart weight distribution, it would float flat on the water , so can be a good rescue gadget in case of boat sinking emergencies, combined with a waterproof phone or with other gadget held inside that coud automaticly connect to SL and send SOS & location.
Should have magnets and different types of securing it on a vehicle / boat / backpack, etc
Kind of "all in one" EDC box.
Wish you'll think about it. I am sure you build it better than me.
Sure, this will be history in a few years when all phones will be able to connect on a sattelite network. Our childs will laught about all these big "ancestral" technologies π
Darn! Here I was wearing my official Keyboard Commando badge, just WAITING for you to miss that fuse… sigh… I guess I'll just contribute my πto appease the YT algorithm overlords and go commando (hehe) elsewhere. In all seriousness, your projects are some of my favorite across all of YT. Amazing work!
Dropping a vote for literally every single idea at the end of this video… even the one you've already done. π€
That is a commercial product. Very nice.
Such a cool project. Thank you for sharing it under CC! Yes, we need all the upgrades you mentioned and extensive video coverage on them ASAP.
I let my mom know you said "hi". She says hello back and that she hopes you and Kara are doing well south of the equator.
I already gave it a thumbs up before you asked how do I give it more π
I have tried 3 cell BMS boards from AliExpress but they allow the sales to go below their lowest voltage threshold Where can I find a 3s BMS that doesn't allow the batteries to overdischarge?
Great work!
I always enjoy an AvE reference.
Deadly work, but its not as easy as you make it look. Thanks brother. Where the link to the magnetic flat-mount?
I love your Videos!
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing π
Another stunning project.
Nice work! Already printed, had to use supports on my X1C with PETG-HF as the first one didn't bridge well. But with adding some tree supports it printed perfect! Thanks again!
Youβre awesome thank you for sharing
What a genius design! I did find a little Milwaukee battery adapter with a low voltage cutoff, but it's clunky and annoying to use. Having a much more compact and thought out design with similar battery life is the best option. Thank you again for all the work that you do! I've used a lot of your videos to upgrade my camper.
Well doneππ½
Another One (in DJ Khaled voice)
Great job my friend!! I love the channel and appreciate your inventions πͺπΌ
Thankyou Everlanders This is exactly what i am looking for, but have one question how would i charge it from 12 volts just use a 24v step up and the BMS takes care of charging profile or do I need a specific 12-24volt charger? thx
How much infil does this need?
I don't have a 3d printer, and I was trying to use an online service to print these parts for me, but the battery cover is a .3mf file and none of the online services recognize the file. All of the .STL files loaded just fine though.
Awesome….and here is the but; there should be a battery cover to keep them secure. Loose 18650 in a bag can short on a set of keys causing a fire. If the can fall off, they will. You are the first to use these batteries in an open case this way, and that is the reason nobody else does.
Great work! So, if I'm doing the math right, runtime is around 3.5 to 4 hours with 3500 mAh cells? I'm assuming ~20 watts average draw, but going off of memory.
