Sky News host Caleb Bond slams the vandals who desecrated iconic statues in Sydney and Melbourne amid the ongoing controversy over Australia Day.
The Captain Cook statue in Sydney was broken and doused with red paint, while the statue honouring modern day Melbourne founder John Batman was split in half.
“Protests are one thing … they’re a bit silly but as long as they don’t harm anyone, whatever,” Mr Bond said.
“But this is where I draw the line – destroying monuments to history and the people who helped build this country.”
