I thought this would be a neat video to celebrate the 7th anniversary of Monster Hunter World, let me know if you enjoyed it, you guys are the best community and I love being able to have some light hearted fun with you guys!

Omg, trying to get through the first 5 minutes was a feat in itself. Did you take your pills before recording? Damn that was annoying!
I think that a lot of these arguments against it were just severely undervaluing how immersive removing a loading zone can feel. Skyrim has a mod that removed the loading screen when entering major cities and its an absolute MUST HAVE mod.
I will say, while I did love Rise & Sunbreak (Primordial Malzeno is still my number 1 monster), I preferred World & Iceborne more just because if felt so much more alive. Even with the endemic life. In Rise/Sunbreak status toads just sit there, moving a tiny bit. That’s it. In World/Iceborne they sit there too yes, but they’re more animated and if a large monster comes too close they freak the fuck out to the point you can literally see the terror on their faces. World was a living breathing game and Rise unfortunately was just limited by the hardware it was made for.
I can’t wait for the end of Feb. My CPU may stop me from playing wilds on launch, but I’m buying it anyway I love the series that much. And this is coming from a person who started playing monster hunter with Rise, but initially refunded it due to not understanding the controls. A year later your videos Josh got me to want to try again and I re-bought it and sunbreak and loved playing it. I then bought World and Iceborne and love it even more.
So what I’m saying is thank you. If it wasn’t for you, cotton and hollow making monster hunter content, I would never have fallen in love with these games. I would never have even given them a try.

I'm fairly certain you can only have one quest active in wilds at a time, so picking up another quest from running in to each others hunts is out.
I'm sad it sounds like the tracking is going to be practically non-existent in wilds. I would have preferred something similar to world, though I do admit getting full tracking on a monster took a bit too long, maybe make it 5 hunts rather than 20.
I would definitely watch more video reexamining your old theories!
Personally, I think having all the maps connected will make the game feel smaller. Assuming we get 4 maps on launch, the whole game will just be the size of the beta 3 more times. That just feels small, even when it is the amount of map-age, if not more.
Josh I am not trying to be cocky but when I was just starting my jorney in mh- MHF1 when I was 7 years old, almost 13 years ago, I had dreams that there would be an open world game and especially I imagined that I will hunt multiple Yian-kut-kus in one place. The funny thing is I didn't knew back then that the Yian-kut-ku is in fact a pack animal but certainly it looked like one to me. And it was fun for me to imagine such things it was like a game in my head. I imagined multiple khezus in a cave just hanging from the selling like a bunch of traps waiting to be set up too. So I guess I predicted it before you just sayin 🙄😂😆

Honesty this feels like proof that some Monster Hunter Devs are watching allot of Content Creators and seeing what things you guys say and how your communities react to it and see if they can implement it.

No, I agree with past you. I certainly feel nothing for the mildly interactive loading zone between the Crimson forrest and the windward plains. You can have your boring corridor I will see you in the forest because I would rather select camp from the map.
But I don't agree that separated maps are a defining feature of monster hunter. Even if the only loading screen is between maps that is not really a loss. I would be just fine with a changing map load over canyon walking simulator.

I thought the first beta ran quite well, sure i got some lag here and there but playing in a lobby with both japanese and americans while i live in the swedish countryside is pretty good,
as even valheim will lag in the same way when you play with people across the world

So what I'm getting from this is, monsters can go on vacation to a entirely new map
hey this is cool and all but can you change the pro and noob playlists in correct order so its not playing backwards
what if you weren't just predicating wilds but also MH7?
I have an idea on how it would work to see random hunters across the map
if you are playing solo you can see people that are playing as a trio, duo or solo (so single trio or 1 duo and 1 solo or 3 other solo players walking around the map)
the system can automatically see which players are close to you and make them visible to you before you get close enough to see them just "phase in" and hide the players that are far away
if you are playing in a duo you can see another duo hunting
the map will feel very alive since the system will phase in other hunters in and out automatically before you have line of sight (allowing for a maximum of 4 hunters) and you can join their party so you are never separated from them possibly
if you help them attack a monster you automatically join forced as a temporary party that gets turned off after the hunt but you can still add them to your party or just part ways and each go does their own thing
its really hard to explain with words but the link party system could REALLY be evolved to do something like this in MH7
100 player lobbies, you see up to 16 at each base camp (and can turn it off to only see yourself and your party) you walk around the map solo and see a trio struggling to hunt a monster so you join them to help them, then part ways and see a newbie needing help so you come and help them in 1 massive map like the forbidden lands but possibly even more open/bigger?
edit: god damn it you literally said "THIS COULD BE MH7" right after I unpaused the video sometimes I find it scary how we all think in very similar ways

I enjoy MH in two parts, playing the story adjusting my build, then turn on some music and mindlessly hunt. That is why I loved the guiding lands and Wilds It looks like my dream game for this reason. Thank you for coming to my Theodore chat.
Capcom could've simply found a way to re-incorporate Loc Lac City from Tri and create a giant village or city hub that has the same setup and features of Loc Lac with everything you need right there, and as Josh talked about, hunters can go straight out into the wilderness to hunt and gather as much as they want, for as long as they want, with seamless transition from central hub, to whatever map you want to access, and have the ability to join any hunt or quest at any given time while out in the field, with permission.
Completely unrelated to the main topic of the video. But the reason Banbaro is an invader monster in World is something super subtle but fairly obvious when you think about it. It's not an invader by choice it's invading other regions because Banbaro is a displaced species due all the events that led to the final events of Iceborne. For starters Shara Ishvalda's constant earthquakes from its song it riled up every monster in every region of the new world. But then what compounded it was all the high tier apexes and Elders coming out of the woodwork. That were not at all afraid to hunt it something Banbaro likely wasn't particularly used to as such a large monster not much typically bothered them for obvious reasons. So naturally it did the only thing it could do. Which was disperse itself to carve out a new niche for itself somewhere else less chaotic. But they found out quickly every region had it's own fair share of competition/ problems it had to adjust to as we were also in the era of the Elder crossong, which was another major event that riled up everything in the new World. So it just became a nomad because it found more success doing that then staying to any one spot. What we see in game is more or less the beginning of what will eventually result in it diversifying into new species, and or subspecies better adapted for specific regions, than it is now.

I hope they add the voicelines before your hunter did his/her ultimate move like in mh rise where u did a saed your character would say "are you ready" or "now youve ticked me off" depending on which voice preset you did

With regards to the idea of stumbling upon an elder dragon and the whole lobby stops what they're doing to get a piece of the action, that is basically what happened for Tri's event quests and Jhen Mohran. Obviously, it wasn't quite stumbling upon a monster in the wild, but logging on and seeing the sandstorm or an event you'd been waiting for had that same feeling, and it's a shame that that hasn't been able to be replicated since.
i would 5000% play as a normal human in the MHU in a horror type setting
