Dashing through the snow, a giant worm is chasing me! The jellyfish are cool, there’s an alien talking to me!
Woke up to a new video from The Librarian. This is gonna be a great day.
Man, I gotta give it to this game the sky absolutely does look beatiful
lmao the fact that it just threw the snow fox through the ground
17:34
fun fact: early in development, you would have started the game escaping outpost 0 as a snowstorm collapsed it, so the canyon looking like that of the current start is no coincidence!
This game came out very close to the Covid outbreak… so all this talk about the dangers of diseases getting out hit very differently then…
Day 2 of politely requesting that you play disco elysium

"Buy the Alterraâ„¢ Snowfoxâ„¢! Now with a quantum tunneling module pre installed!"
43:30 People finding things when they're no longer useful and lots of things not being very useful in general is one of the most unsatisfying aspects of this game. Hope they do something about this is Subnautica 2.
One critique i have with Sub Zero is that you spend too much time on the surface for a game called Subnautica. I think the balance was fine in the first one, but not so much here and the physics is a bit clunky on the surface as well as you sometimes float in the air and moonwalk lol. Anyway love the gameplay.
Been loving this series so far
Here's a disturbing thought: for the antibacterial agent to work this quickly throughout the frozen leviathan, its circulatory system must be still active…
51:26 Maybe Karaa was even more adaptable. It’s possible it could’ve mutated faster than the creatures immune systems could adapt. Maybe it even overwrote the creatures immune systems.
So Sam, acting only on suspicion, but with no actual evidence of ill intent, commits with Margaruite basically an act of terrorism, destroying two Alterra facilities resulting in Sam and an innocent security guards death (Parvan). On top of this Sam synthesized a cure and still decided upon the explosive route rather than to simply cure the leviathan. Literally all of Sams co-workers think she was being overly concerned and there wasn't anything to actually worry about. How is Sam the good guy here?
Furthermore, when musing about what would happen after, she was only concerned that Alterra would fire her. Any other Government would execute someone who attempted this, or at least give a life sentence, but Sam didn't seem to consider that likely? And after all that Alterra had the benevolence to tell her family that she died of negligence rather than terroristic activity.
So the game really paints Alterra as the good guy and Sam as the bad.
1 more creature
50km/h wind and rain outside, pulled up the video, first thing i see is giant hailstones falling lmao
1:08:10 McFly, you bojo! THOSE BOARDS DON'T WORK ON WATER!
I'm gonna giggleshitter you librar
5:48 I TOTALLY FORGOT DIVIDE MUSIC WAS IN THIS GAME!!!
day 2 asking the the librarian play the layers of fear
The Stasis Rifle was actually added early in the game's development but was later
removeddisabled (you can still spawn it in via the console). That aside, it's interesting how the lack of a powerful immobilizing tool makes the leviathans more terrifying. I've read of more experienced players who have yet to scan a Shadow, to this day probably, lol.
You ignored the Thermos. That lets you collect coffee, which restores hydration and heat when you drink it.
