The Apple TV+ hit show Silo wrapped up its second season with a tremendous finale. In the tenth episode, Bernard (Tim Robbins) learns disturbing news from his shadow, Lukas (Avi Nash), that makes he question everything he thought he knew.

Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) finally leaves Solo (Steve Zahn) and Silo 17 behind. Her fate is uncertain at the end but it appears her return has brought an end to the rebellion in Silo 18.

Press Release:
Today, Apple TV+ revealed the trailer for the second season of “Silo,” the world-building, global hit drama based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy of dystopian novels. Created by Emmy-nominated screenwriter Graham Yost, who also serves as showrunner, and starring and executive produced by Rebecca Ferguson, the 10-episode second season will premiere globally on Friday, November 15 on Apple TV+ with the first episode, followed by one new episode every Friday through January 17, 2025.

“Silo” is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and those who try to find out face fatal consequences. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will.

  1. I agree the finale definitely stuck the landing. It was epic— but that doesn’t make me have amnesia and not remember how labored and meandering the first half of the season was.

The show suffered badly from pacing issues but at the end of the day I’m hooked and totally invested and have been since season 1.

Let’s hope we get the best of both worlds next season and have great epic ending but much better paced and more concise and faster moving storytelling the first half!

  2. Pete,

If the Legacy works in Jimmy’s silo, why does the algorithm not also work? I’m assuming it’s shut out there because it doesn’t do things like prevent Juliette from coming in or leaving, e.g., blasting the fire vents there?

  3. Thanks for the breakdown. This is a C+ to B- series for me. I'll wait for the 3rd season but it's not something I have to have. I'm more interested in the book series now that I've seen the TV ver

  4. Did you miss solo saying that the people from 17 didn’t die straight away? Me thinks the safeguard pumps outside as well as inside.
How far can the AI hear? Did it hear jules telling Bernhard she might be able to stop the safeguard? I think the AI first directive is to stop the peoples of the silos from finding out about each other. I think it means to keep people separate in the silos until a compliant population has been bred.

  5. Curious. As someone who has read the books (and not trying to piss off those who have not), we've pretty much come to the end of book one (minus a few wrap-ups). will Season 3 start the second book, "Shift"? Shift focuses on the origin story of the silos and does not have the same cast. So will viewers have to wait until after season 3 (maybe even 4) to learn the fate of Juliette and Bernard)?

  6. I found it so slow!!! And going back to waiting a week per Ep is so annoying, that and only 10 eps per year.
I was Sure that “The Safe Guard” Was a Gas that actually wiped everyone's Memory!

    Spoiler — — —

The Is plenty of clear clues that its not Radiation outside, No magnifiers, advanced AI and a tech, 200 years and still instant death, Fire used in the air lock!

  7. Having read the books, there have already been a few major characters fates changed, some are alive that are not in the books, some dead that are alive, curious to see what they do in seasons 3 & 4 as they were confirmed to be the last. Favorite show on TV, and can't wait for the next two seasons!

  8. What happened to this show? Season 1 was so good. Season 2, it was obvious Rebecca Ferguson was filming something else, probably Mission Impossible, and couldn't be on set with the rest of the actors. It was just so bad and all over the place. I'm not going to be back for season 3. What a betrayal.

  9. I got legitimate goosebumps when Juliette walks over that hill and everyone turns around and sees her. What a interesting season ending, it had so many twists I was actually surprised

  10. I don’t understand why they have a safe guard? Why would the AI need to kill everyone? If they go outside they die. If they made it to another silo, they can’t get in. They could walk in front of another camera and that would cause trouble? Doesn’t make sense. I’m missing something.

  11. They turned a story that would have fitted into three episodes into an entire season. I actually like it when the writers don't just work through the story. But here they simply overdid it. Because they got lost in the trivial. I'm a bit disappointed with the second season.

  12. Did I miss something in the real life scene? I took it to mean that it’s happening in real time. Leading me to beige the SILOS are completely an experiment or something. The immediate cut to the real world really leads me to believe that it’s not a flashback but current time. Maybe I’m crazy

  13. So… The algorithm wasn't listening in silo 18? A man, his wife and son spoke of the safeguard and the gas was not released. And what exactly allowed some of them to survive long enough before they didnt when leaving 18? I know what's up with the surface but a lot in this season pissed me off…oh and girl power! Salute! Let's hope it wasn't strong enough to kill this one coz it did it's number on me, especially with the teen mom in 18 and Mrs Simz getting private with the algorithm
