Key features include proactive environmental sensing, customizable transmit and receive functions, intelligent processing, and resource scheduling, enabling the radar to adapt to complex electromagnetic jamming tactics.
The Type 055 maintained operational effectiveness during electronic attacks, and locked onto the Growler. The dismissal of the VAQ-136 squadron commander has been speculated to be connected to the incident.
The US has been flying these flights since at least the 1970s. A friend of mine flew on these missions. He could speak some wicked Chinese.

The biggest mistake is to assume someone is weaker. It is always best to think they are stronger that way you plan for a fight. If you assume they are weaker but find out they are not then you lose! They US does have a larger Air Force but it is scattered around the world and can not be moved to one place. You have to see how many the US has in the area and then see what your opponent has. The US might be able to move some more assets into a area but never all!

Just wondering why after the electronic warfare in June 2024 at the north of Philippine, William Coulter, the commander of US Electronic Attack Squadron 136 (VAQ-136) aboard the USS Carl Vinson, was unexpectedly relieved of his duties.
