The problem is many Africans don't the know the true history of so call black people of western societies. Our history has been whitewashed with a lot of narratives. Africans don't know of the copper toned skin people of the Americas and Caribbean, that some of them were French Huguenots, Hebrew Israelites, Swarthy and tawny Germans, Irish, Swedes and West Indians. We were lump together; renamed and reclassified as negros and colored people. I read somewhere that West Indians were moved around the Americas and the Caribbean as Indians and renamed Africans at their destinations. The colonists didn't steal negros from Africa. In the Americas and the Caribbean, they exiled them in their own lands as slaves.
