So, the inquisitor is not as radical as I initially thought. He is just typical Imperium personnel who was born, grown up, educated, and serve the Imperium's interest. I mean you can't blame him for being ruthless and brutal as the nature of his home and workplaces shaped him in such a way. And Master Chief in my view had got isekaied into WH40K universe is much more of a Xeno than everything else in the franchise meaning Vardis just doing his regular job with a bit of surprise in the shape of Master Chief.

Wasn't he fighting alongside the settlers for like, weeks? How does he have any ammo for his assault rifle left? One of Chiefs most notable tactics is picking up and using enemy weaponry. Surely he'd see a bolter and go "aw, hell yeah"
