I don't trust this guy after hearing allegations and NDAs workers must sign.
Those dog are the absolutely the best in a farming situation. They prefer to be close to the sheep/goats they are protecting. They will not be social like other dogs. But with their humans and their animal they are guarding, they are the BEST doggies. These dogs are even really good with cats when introduced slowly. Lots of farmers around here have them. They will take on wolves and coyotes to protect the farm. You are correct also, they get massive. Hope he goes to a great farm where he can protect chicken, goat, sheep or whatever.

I love your "rescue day" videos and today's was no exception. You never cease to amaze me with how much you connect with each and every single dog you meet and they with you. That mutual connection is such a beautiful thing for all of us to witness. I'd love to see an update on Cali as I haven't seen her mentioned lately, and I know she's one of your original loves, and I hope and pray she's doing okay.

He will be a real asset to the pack! Now other dogs can fall back and relax,and the best part and lesson is that as a human when you are a strong leader and have clear boundries even dogs like him can relax when around you and not stress. Glad he found a pack that suits him so he has a job!

Carter has made many new friends.
I have a wonderful Anatolian Shepherd similar in face and markings to Carter. She has a beautiful tail and is much more husky like in her fur esp with winter.
She’s now going on 11 years old. She is stoic and such a loving, gentle giant. She guards not only our rural property but jumps our perimeter fence and checks in with the neighboring properties and nearby forest.
She goes into a whole other level of attention and protection when coyotes or strangers show up.
I rescued her at 10 months and thankfully her foster mom gave her basic leach training.
She has really made me appreciate how smart these type of guardian breeds are. We have three other dogs and she’s the boss.
Many people leave them at the shelters because they are found as runaways. It’s hard to contain them. Having property with livestock or like I do with horses is a must for them as they are bred to live in a pack of 3 or more and guard large flocks of sheep or goats on the steeps of the Anatolian mountains on Turkey.
They fight off wolves and mountain lions. I’ve seen the videos on YouTube.

I adopted a Great Pyrenees from the kill shelter as she she hated everyone except me and my mom 😊 , she was beaten with a broom because you could not sweep in the house she would cower and hide , she did kill every animal wild that came to our yard skunks ground hogs a turkey that was neighbors pet however it flew over to our yard . Funny part is I had another Great Pyrenees same time who was extremely friendly so people had to be careful when they came over ! I kept her till arthritis attacked her in the lower back and she couldn’t get up even 3 stairs anymore my mom just loved her so did I but I never worried about my mom home alone with that dog her name was Athena the friendly one was Clancy ! Grateful I could get her and keep her till her time on earth was over , both were great dogs !

1st dog I ever had, my brother and I rescued from a life chained in a front yard. Had him for 12 years. When I met my wife, I met her when I befriended her dog, chained in the front yard.
Next one I got from a GSD Rescue on the Web.
Now I have 2 dogs I rescued from the pound when my brother died living in another state.
Rescued dogs know they were rescued. And are eternally grateful for it. They have a love that is truly amazing. My life would’ve been incomplete without them.
