Keith – you have a lot of deaf air video at the end of your last two uploads. You injury update is like 33 min long video for a Qe min actual. This one is the same but end at 31 min and upload length is like 36 min.
Found this on the internet regarding the Angle Blocks grade. "TR grade blocks have a manufacturing tolerance of ±1.0, meaning the actual angle can deviate from the nominal angle by up to 1.0 unit. Used TR grade blocks have a tolerance of ±4.5, indicating that the permissible deviation from the nominal angle is greater for used blocks compared to new ones. In essence, the TR grade indicates a relatively lower accuracy compared to the LM or SI grades, making them suitable for applications where a higher tolerance is acceptable."

When I saw your last couple videos, I was thinking how fortunate I am to not have any injuries. Then I strained or sprained my left wrist pounding in a ground rod. So now I'm wearing a wrist brace. The $42 for the wrist brace would have been better spent renting a rotary hammer drill!
Take it from an old motorcycle racer . Get your vitamins and drink a lot more water. 6 weeks for a fracture and you will be fighting the good fight again.

I might reveal that I'm not a machinist at all but given that you do have both a 30 and a 15 degree triangle in that Starrett set, doesn't that mean that you can check the 45 deg one you can possibly make up to the very same high level of precision those were made to?

That Power boot looks interesting. I might have to buy one for work as a handyman since I always end up having to ruffle through a stuffed plastic box in my drill bag and root for a T-20 and finding 5 T-25s or vice versa before finding the bit I need. I'm surprised I haven't seen it online or at my hardware store as of yet.

That PowerBoot thing is awesome, I think I might have to get me a few if they're a reasonable price. I'm constantly having to carry a large bit kit with me whenever I go to work on something it would be great to have a little case that holds bits and fits on my drills batteries.

Kieth – Glad to see your hand is on the mend. I had to smile at the B&W Steam book. That was been published for a long, long time. I graduated with my mechanical engineering degree in 1970 – B&W presented each graduate ME with a copy of the current version of that book. Still is on my bookshelf here – have to admit I never happened to do any thermodynamics or heat transfer during my working career where I needed it. But those of us who used slide rules all the way through our undergraduate years and understood the steam tables are getting long at the tooth now. Take good care of that one. I just checked B&W web site – first published in 1875 and now in the 42d edition as of 2015. Digital these days and $120.
The best guy for that 45 degree block would be Tom Lipton 😊
