  1. I never seen a piece of media describe how i feel about life and my outlook on world so beautifully. It sums up my thoughts on existence very nice. Though evolution is a bit misunderstood here. Life doesn't evolve because it wants to survive, it's just random chance which creates a mutation which is generally useless but sometimes is useful and is passed down. Now in select conditions of the environment the creatures which have the trait capable of surviving in the environment live and rest die. This change happens in very small steps and process is very slow. It's not that we evolve to survive, it's just those who lived passed on their genes and so on until we exist, those who died couldn't pass on their genes. It definitely doesn't mean they chose to evolve, it kind of just happened. So saying we just evolved to have these survival extincts would be wrong, we didn't do shit, our lived on to pass it to us but there purpose wasn't to survive, they just happened to live with the correct environment with the adequate abilities to live on and pass their genes to us who now have their traits.

So it doesn't matter if we “evolved” kindness or whatever, it is just that our ancestors with kindness survived while those without parished. I don't know how you can feel like it is existential that we “evolved” kindness. It is much more beautiful since it says that the best chance of survival is to be kind. What does it matter if we benefit from our kindness as long as we help the ones in need. A net good occurs in the world, that is what's important. If our feelings help us achieve it, good. Just because it also helped the ancestors who first happened to develop kindness survived while others who couldn’t didn't, doesn't mean much.

This enshitfication we are facing might not be the final stage of life as this video goes on. We aren't the main characters of the universe. Universe went on before we were here and after we will. So will life if we dont destroy it, which is almost impossible but i can't say for certain. So this enshitification we are facing might be just a period of time, but of course it depends how we act in the present. Do we set this as an example and make things worse and worse or try to improve. Change is certain, things will change. And it is in our hands how we want things to change. We can't stop change, what is gone is gone. But the future isn't set in stone. We might be able to create a better world. But it is not certain we will, at the same time it is not certain we will fail. We can only try. And it is enough. But we don't do anything. Things will still change. It would just not be the best for us.

  2. Honestly after watching channels like Europos, trying to watch this type of a "video essay's" Is like you went on a vacation to an Alpine resort and everyday you eat home-made chesse, smoked meats, jams, cakes, soups and washing it down with the best wine's and honeys.
And then after you returing on the plane, you get served Lunchlys and Prime

  3. Evolution, even if it is true, is a worthless theory. If you need to make a change, are you supposed to wait around a million years and pray to father time for a miracle? Well, a smart human would hire a creationist (an engineer) and pay them big bucks to make a change.

Humans do not make their own vitamin C like other animals do. If humans don’t get vitamin C, they die rather quickly. This is an evolutionary no brainier yet it’s still going on. In addition, humans would not have lost the ability to drink salt water, the most abundant source of water on the planet.

Similarly, we should be able to get some of our nutrients form the air just like plants (CO2).

Your DNA is recursive. What that means is that it not only knows how to make you, it knows how to make it self. The implications of this is that as far as evolution is concerned, that information is unavailable to evolution so it can’t be modified. So not only is the bridge out, it can never ever be built in the first place. In addition, your mitochondria has it’s own set of DNA. As such, in order for life to exist, it requires two different working sets of DNA operating in parallel. Given that evolutionary theory states that changes take place in a slow serial fashion, this will never ever happen.

Natural selection provides a mechanism for a species to specialize like a Finche’s longer beak. However, structures like your brain are general purpose. For example, your brain knows how to parse an audio stream coming in through your ears (operating at 20 to 20Khz) and visual stream(operating in the Terahertz range) coming through your eyes and pick out the important information that it’s never ever encountered before. As such, natural selection never can come up with these devices.

And to further muddy the evolutionary waters, your brain isn’t even developed enough for a least a year after birth before it has any chance to intelligently respond to this information. In addition, if evolution were ever to have happened, I would expect that your eyes would respond to infrared light, the color of food.

In addition, natural selection only acts on an existing system. If there is no existing system, there well never ever be any change. So evolution can never ever happen.

I also think the phenomenon of irreducible complexity has dealt a death blow to evolution. For example, your circulation system requires all of the following parts to exist(parallel) and that they are functional or life will never start:
    1. A pump (your heart).
    2. One way valves to keep things moving in the correct direction.
    3. Two different types of signaling, hormonal(chemical) and electrical.
    4. A master controller (your brain).
    5. Blood (a really complex fluid).
    6. Low friction hollow tubes that direct the movement of blood.
    7. A gas exchanger (your lungs).
    8. A diaphragm which controls the operation of the gas exchanger.
    9. Bone marrow that creates the blood.
    10. Several different types of cells(heart, lung, vein etc.) that make up everything.
    11. Two completely different types of cell replication technologies (division, stem cells).
    12. Cellular power supply (mitochondria).
    13. Etc…

In addition, humans can be creative. We can bring into existence something that never existed before. Kind of God like if ask me. If you want so see how amazing this capability is, just watch one of the “synthony orchestra” videos.

I don’t care if want to say that God or ET designed life but it had have to been designed. As such, I have reclassified evolution of that of a philosophy or a religion.

And if I had to guess, I think the creator exists on the Quantum level.

You have been educated. My advice to you is to not ignore the intuitively obvious or you will end up camping next to the Geocentric crowd. So instead of having the respect of others, you will have to settle for their pity.

  4. I don't really see a difference in the tendency of memes to replicate and grow vs the same tendency in organic compounds. Consciousness seems to be an emergent property of the interactions between the cells in our brain, which are caused by biological drives for replication, which are in turn a result of protein survivorship bias favoring those which tend to replicate, since they eventually become common enough to spread. The same happens with memes, such as greed and selfishness, which push corporations toward greater and greater evils until they break apart or collapse, in the same patterns which mutating viruses follow.
