EVERYONE SHUT UP MY SHOW IS ON
Oh shit it's the genocide quest letsgooo
I'm being flippant, but I love this quest cause it's one of the darkest quests in the game. Also it's not that Tadhla "made a choice" imo, she was treated like a tool by her tribe, she wasn't allowed to be a person and have friends, so either she kills you or get killed by you, or she get killed or exhiled by her tribe, that's the only free will she had basically.
We will meet again under a lovelier sun
The Tadhla quest kinda stunlocked me when I got to the final part. I got a bit spoiled about what was gonna happen to her, but didn't truly want to believe it until the battle started. When I realized that the comments I saw were true, I initially just fled the battle by teleporting away, speechless. I didn't want to do it and was in denial for probably a few hours, trying to do other things and hoping to think of a way to get around it, I even considered never finishing this quest. But eventually my my urge to complete as much content as possible won, as well as the knowledge that the longer I put it off, the harder it would be. So yeah, this quest did a great job at painting a different picture of the tribe, and making the final part of Jeht's story a lot more satisfying.
RIP TADHLA. YOU DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER 😭🤍🦅
Thoughts on uploading more strictly exploration videos? Im personally an exploration fiend myself and would love to have a chill video of calvin walking around teyvat and finding fun chests and easter eggs every once in a while. Though im aware that you do this sometimes i would love more of it! I wanna see what ur and the community's thoughts are on this idea.
Just to add some informations, the Gurabad that attacked the temple of silence was not the first Gurabad, it was a rebuildt one far later, though there is no mention of it in the quest it's mostly in the exploration, or you can just check the wiki page of Gurabad
I hope he react to "Shadows in the Sands" by Subatai
I personally couldn't raise my weapon on Jeht, and after my party was dead and resurrected, quest progressed. So, it's a neat detail – if you don't want to hurt Jeht, the game would not force you. Because, I believe, usually you have to finish the fight to progress in a quest.
I think Tadhla's death is so underplayed, and only confirmed in a quick passing auto-play dialog because China has some complicated censorship laws about depicting playable characters killing people who aren't pure evil. Hoyo basically snuck it in and danced around the laws. Its a camera-cuts-but-you-know-what-happened kind of moment… But personally its hard for me to believe Traveler would commit the killing blow without question. He could have easily overpowered and subdued her, and then found a way to free her.
I'm ok with moral gray areas and tragedy, but in the Traveler's case there needed to be a catch where he had no choice, or something to that effect. It really rubbed me the wrong way, but I'm over it. Not every moment can be perfect. Eh/10 character arc. I liked Tadhla and really wanted to help her 🙁
My re-write would have Jeht and Tadhla become friends…I mean roommates… I mean rebel adventuring companions in the end
I want this to make to genshin anime. Imagine an entire episode of this quest, it would be absolute cinema.
Thank you for doing this quest and giving it just as much heart as any other <3
Here's to hoping…. Jeht playable character someday!
Now someone needs que up the video for him for Roamer reacts. Best Hoyofair video ever.
Some people were not happy with this ending, Calvin might see that discussion in his discord, relating to the portrayal of the Eremites and the desert people through the Tanit, and how Liloupar’s claims towards the Tanit were ultimately correct, etc. I myself am just gonna bring up that that was a major controversy at the time. The Tanit genocide did not help the temperature of the controversy that’s for sure.
Personally, when I played this in the patch it was released, when I realized what was happening I was screaming quietly something like “OMG, WTF, HOLY SHIT, FALLOUT NEW VEGAS, HONEST HEARTS, JOSHUA GRAHAM, WTF, JOSHUA FUCKING GRAHAM, WE’RE KILLING OFF THE WHITE LEGS IN GENSHIN?!?!”
It’s been a long running “joke” in the community on how the Traveler and Jeht just genocided an entire Eremite tribe and the Traveler just keeps that to themselves since.
In the Arlecchino story quest, after the meeting with Neuv, she asked if she could make a request, the convo went:
Paimon: Wait, why are you being so generous all of a sudden? You're not gonna ask us to do something bad, are you?
The Knave: “You overestimate yourself. You don't have the talent for bad things.”
This was memed upon a bit because of the Jeht quest.
Gurabad is the city not the king 😂
23:45 Kisra Pasrazaruzan 😂 how is your calvinism harder to pronounce than the actual name 😂
So, HYV released some information today that said ‘For the best Lantern Rite experience [this year], complete the Natlan Archon Quest’, so there’s more then likely a chance that the events of the quest will be mentioned or Natlan characters will show up in Lantern Rite this year. It could be similar to last year, where it’s mainly just some short cameos from those characters after the main event, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
1:53:27 sad fun fact!! When this quest was released that part of the desert wasn’t in the game yet so when Jeht walked away you couldn’t chase her😭😭😭😭
1:47:42 i wish we meet jeht in the natlan region really bad, hoyo please
Btw you can still equip Liloupar to solve the puzzles in Hadramaveth. But yeah, its just her body with us, her soul went to Gurabad
I want to see all the World Quest Characters show up in the future. Rana and Arana, Jeht and others, all of them are out there somewhere. I want them to show up in some form. Be it events or other quests.
Best worldquest , genshin was never the same after this world quest for me. The traveller and Jeht killed every single one of the Tanit tribe , for good reason ofcourse. I think you have already watched Subutai's video on Jeht but i urge you to watch it again now with context.
1:35:39, ofcourse she was ordered to do it. That is how she became the sole leader of the Tanit , by killing all other competitors.
The final words on Liloupar being similar to Jeht just clicked on me. They loved their family , were betrayed and then killed everyone of them. Nice Parallel
Everyone in the tanit tribe had to hold hands.
OMG this team you are using was one of my favorites when starting❤ just swap Kaveh with Kuki Shinobu (Just use Kuki's skill you can ignore her burst) so you can do Hyperblooms and since they are auto target you don't have to worry about getting enemies to sit still while waiting for blooms to detonate
Nahida skill > Kuki skill > Xingqui Skill or burst > Barbara basic attacks (Kuki must have close to 1000 Elemental Mastery)
58:58 Not really, you are just using the wrong elements against it thats all ^^
Electro shield < use cryo (pyro is soft counter)
Pyro shield < use hydro (electro is soft counter)
Hydro shield < use dendro (cryo and electro are soft counter)
Fatui hydro shield < use electro
Cryo shield < use pyro (electro is soft counter)
Dendro shield < use pyro
Geo shield < use geo or great sword or overload reaction or explosive abilities/utilities
Hope i could help you 😀
13:40 the simple answer is that hoyo received a lot of feedback regarding the lengths of the sumeru world quests and that influenced the direction for Fontaine and beyond. Let's just say a lot of people were not too happy enduring a 5-hour samsara with that Aranara world quest.
So now all of the world quests have shorter durations compared to past quests in sumeru. Not just quest length, but if you noticed, even the places of interest where quests take place are fewer and easier to find/get to. For quests of significant importance and length, they've added warnings for them at the start.
