Three suspected car thieves were shot dead when they opened fire at police in Kota Emerald here today
Two of the three suspects had a combined total of 68 criminal records, mostly related to vehicle theft and robbery.
Federal Criminal Investigation Department Director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said that the incident occurred around noon.
He said that the suspects were believed to have rented cars, changed their number plates, and used them to search for four-wheel drive vehicles to steal.
