  1. Mayo's problem was that he stepped into the HC job of the highest performing biggest success team in NFL history. Fans expectation is the other element. I live in Boise State country and The poor Q.B. and teams and coaches that came after the Kellen Moore and Chris Peterson era had big big shoes to fill and fan expectation. They came an went. Good or bad, right or wrong……modern day football dynamics.

  2. Its interesting how so few black people realize how destructive affirmative action is to all black people. When you admit you got hired because of skin color then youre the racist, not the people pointing it out.

  3. I respected Mayo as a player – his skills and his effort.
But, he completely lost me right from the moment he started spewing Woke DEI NONSENSE at his Very First press conference after being named Head Coach. That shit has no place in sports, or, Anywhere for that matter.

  4. Nah I think it was Brady that kept the Patriot on the right track because winning keeps just about everyone happy then we see before and after Brady Bill is just a mediocre coach it’s not like we don’t have a good size example of Bills head coaching before and after Brady

  5. Like it or not it kinda is about race but not quite. The my boys mentality when you’re trying to be buddy buddy with the guys you’re coaching. When they look like you they expect you to not be as hard on them and to let things slide. I see that shit in day to day life work environments. Fact of life

  7. Dei hire? He just didn’t hold up. No coach can guarantee a winning season in the nfl. Remember John gruden, chip kelly, Mike McCarthy? All these coaches have losing seasons. Doesn’t mean they don’t belong. Stop being a hater.

  8. This is a horrible take if you didn't pay attention to the season of the patriots. Mayo didn't know his head from his ass. He threw his team under the bus, coaches, players alike. He also lost control of the front office and his players. He was so interested in being different then belichick. Wasn't a leader and seemed overwhelmed.

  9. many coaches are hired, only to be fired. it happens regardless of race. when a white HC is fired, the discussion is about his performance. when a black HC is fired, the race card is always pulled. it's never the fault of the fired coach. it's never related to team performance. NE's HC pulled the race card during PC right after being hired. why would an organization hire a black person in the 1st place if their goal is to fire him regardless of performance? now organizations will limit their hiring decision to ensure a black coach is hired. when you reduce a pool of candidates for a job by over 85%, on average, you will not get the best coach available. has nothing to do about race. it is about reducing the candidate pool.

  10. Because of the players portal, Notre Dame is going to be a powerhouse for many years. They have the ability "$" to bring the best of the best to their team. They have a rich organization backing them.

  11. Been a Patriots fan since before the dynasty began. Loved Mayo as a player and was genuinely excited for him to be head coach. Seemed like a guy the players could rally around and hold themselves accountable to. Unforunately, there was zero accountability and it only got worse as the season progressed. Mayo opted to play cards on the plane ride home after an embarrassing loss rather than watch film. He never communicated with his coaching staff or individual players or a unit. He is the polar opposite of Bill Belichick and it led to a piss poor showing all season. He wasn't ready, nor was he qualified for the job. Simple.

  12. Lifelong New England resident born and raised in Boston watching the pats since I was a kid in the 70s. Great guy hard player a good father good husband nothing personal. But was clearly well over his head when you watched him on the sidelines I don’t remember seeing a coach on the sideline looking so inept.

  13. "I do see color because I believe if you don't see color, you can't see racism," he said. "Whatever happens, Black, White, disabled person — even someone with disabilities, for the most part people are like — when they're young, they kind of make the spot hot. Younger people know what that means. "But what I would say is, no, I want you to be able to go up to those people and really understand those people. It goes back to whatever it is, Black, White, Yellow, it really doesn't matter, but it does matter so we can try to fix the problem that we all know we have." FIRED

  14. I know you probably dont like Jason Whitlock, but he nailed it.

First press conference announcing Mayo's hiring. Bob Kraft gets up there and says he doesnt see color. 2 minutes later, Mayo says he DOES see color and starts woke scolding everyone who would listen. He was done before he even started.

  15. Maybe going out and winning a game he was probably absolutely told to lose and they gave away draft for free. Had something to do with that?

He didn't find Drake May, the GM drafted him, the other guy stunk to high heaven, and they were forced to play Maye

  16. When you look at the US, blacks make up 13.6% of the population. In professional sports, media, Hollywood, and entertainment, they are actually over-represented. So if a group is over-represented, and continues to cry about lack of representation, I'd call that being priveleged.

  17. I knew he’s be gone after one season after the press conference with Bob Kraft where Kraft said he doesn’t see color, then Mayo said he does😂 more too it than that, I recommend watching it if you haven’t. Hilarious stuff. I thought Kraft should have fired him on the spot🤷‍♂️
