I'm sitting at 200k gems now as F2P. You get a lot more gems than you need just for events as F2P these days, and there's no reason to buy stellar shards from Aspen dungeon or Celestial Island anymore, so we're pretty heavily net positive. I'm leaning towards adding in the 8k chest every month personally.
