I liked Spirit Tracks and I feel like it and Phantom Hourglass' biggest issues was speed of overworld travel.
To add, sometimes when you leave SA, you become a self-aggrandizing narcissist who tries to hijack the language of social justice to excuse abusive behavior and really, REALLY shitty acts.
And then when the veil drops, you drop all the SJ stuff in favor of just being and out-and-proud hateful asshole while trying to denigrate the very communities you pretended to defend before.
But that's like…. okay, that's a good few of them, let's be honest. Thankful Jon wasn't like those loons, and I'm really glad the broader internet came to the understand that maybe, JUST maybe, those people weren't the perpetual victims of everyone else after all.
1:12:36–1:12:44 Same here, and I'm speaking from a born and raised Catholic household. I hate how the church of today is willing to say "All Are Welcome" and pray for peace, then turn around and associate willingly with those who are a living contradiction to everything the bible and Jesus said, all because of abortion or LGBTQ policies. That's probably why so many young people are leaving the church in droves, no one likes being preached to by hypocrites.
1:20:05–1:20:20 It's good to hear that. 2024 as a whole sucked for me almost from day one, and so far 2025 isn't much better. At what point are we gonna get an ACTUAL good year all year 'round?! Is that too much to ask for after how the 2020's have been?!
Ngl i wasn't expecting the snow village section to get a wholesome retrospect on Jon's community but i do agree that I'm happy to have found Jon's stream, even if i don't join live anymore for reasons

Jon has always been one of a kind ever since I've watched his stuff and what i mean is he is one of the few who feel like a genuine human that you would see in cartoons. I get that you have flaws but you still feel a real role model and a good person but are also keen and smart about life

If you're using the Bible to justify your own sense of superiority and be cruel to other people, you have missed the point of the Bible. My mother doesn't attend anymore because she felt like it was too backstabby, and that's entirely her right.
I consider myself a devout christian. But my faith and realtionship with god is my own, i dont go to any churchs and i hardly trust organized religion. It saddens me how many asshole christians, who dont actually follow what the bible says. Which litterally tells you to love thy enemy. So regardless of if someone has a lifestyle or view counter to your own they are human are should be treated fairly unless they maliciously hurt others with their deeds (This is just my response to the church talk stuff)
I grew up in a church going house. Basically I only did it because I was forced to go, I rathered stay home and play games. My grandmother always insisted on going every week unless her back was doing really poorly that day. Things went south when the head priest died. This is a man who would still performed mass with one foot (he wore a prosthetic), a walker, and needing an air tank to breathe. A man truly dedicated to the church and his people. Everyone respected him, at least we thought. I don't think it shook her faith, but grandmom entirely stopped going when a new priest arrived and the parish essentially kicked out another nice priest.
New guy came from a rich parish and started to try to make things into a business. Church bazaars every year are a huge thing in my hometown. We had a decently sized one too. Lots of games, tricky trays, food… The first year this new guy was in charge? He purchased some of those notoriously unsafe rent-a-carnival rides. The only tent I believe we had was a wine tent. It rained during the entire bazaar.
This warms my heart to see, this community is so supportive and sweet. I’ve following since the mid 2010s and I never looked back. Jon, you’re a wonderful person, never change. 🥹♥️🫂
Usually I don’t talk about religious stuff sense I know that some people don’t like to listen to that, but I do have to agree with you Jon that so many Christians act like complete jerks for no legitimate reason. They say stuff like being a part of the LGBTQIA+ is a sin or something, but I don’t recall being told anything like that when I used to go to my local Presbyterian Church; although I think Presbyterians are usually more willing to listen & accept stuff like that.
I can also understand if someone doesn’t feel comfortable going to a Christian based church, or another type of church, because of a traumatic experience that left them permanently scared or for some of the people that are more corrupted. My church wasn’t bad at all, but I felt that it wasn’t that necessary for me to go to church for right now. I think it not a major requirement to go to church to believe in God. I still believe in God in some sort of way.
And I can also agree with judging people more on their actions rather than their background. I usually try to look past anything like race, what a person has done in the past, LGBTQIA+, Furries/Scalies, etc. As long as the person is currently on the side of good and/or has changed for the better from their corrupted past if they had one, I don’t care that much about their background.
I struggle with nightmares. So Jon's dream watch makes me feel apprehensive. I wish he would add a time stamp on his YouTube vods.

I was going to post a long comment about why the grind for the highest level of Beedle's shop membership sucks and I'll never do it, but… by the time I worked it all out, I decided I might as well. (TL;DR would have been that there's too little to spend money on and as you get more points the rate at which you get points decreases, and that the rewards above Gold aren't worth it.)
I really have to agree with the person who said you are like an uncle to them. I've been watching you for years and seeing both you and this community grow from the early TRG and Mario ROM Hack days has been inspiring. Not only have I recently become more open, I've recently started my own trans journey, and I partially attribute some of my ability to get through it all to watching how you carry yourself and treat others. Thank you for being there for all of us and for you to continue your adventures in life!

Unbelievable, postcard lottery in this game gets 1st place twice in a row, and i thought jon's luck wasn't entirely the greatest, when i play spirit tracks and i do the postcard lottery, i very rarely ever get 1st place, sometimes i don't win anything at all.

as a kid i thought there was going to be a third entry (i didn't really know about wind waker) where you got like. a plane or something. water, land, air sort of thing. i feel like bowser having a plane kart in mario kart ds also contributed to that despite that it didn't fly.
