  1. you will be fine, concentrate, on your daily life. I flew, for years, on same boarding cruise, and always made it. BUT that was before, the craziness, started with airlines. Last cruise, flew sameday! took the 6:50a.m. flight, non-stop, to Galveston, then Carnival transportation to port. Cruise was meant to be. My best Xmas and New YYears cruise ever. Cruise Mamma.✈🚢

  2. I was in about the same spot. My airline canceled my flight and changed it to afternoon. I called and informed them that I had to be in San Francisco by 10am. The got me on another flight. I also had a ship pickup. All went well. Have fun don't worry be happy!

  3. When we did an Iceland and Greenland cruise. NCL put us on the flight arriving the day of embarkation. I always thought that when the cruise lines choose your flught, if something goes wrong, they will get you to your ship. I have since read that this isn't true, at least with NCL. I was still nervous, but it worked out ok. I would never do that again, though. I like a day or two prior.

  4. My cousin and his wife just went on a Venezia 12-day cruise out of NYC end of November – early December. They said the cruise was amazing, but embarkation and debarkation were both a nightmare. Both were delayed, mainly due to choppy water and difficulties docking. So on the bright side, a delayed embarkation may work in your favor.

  5. I would not do this, but I am also not in the position to be able to do 8 or 9 cruises in a year. I think if that were the case I would take the risk as well. Since we cruise once a year, I cannot afford the risk of missing our vacation.

  6. Being a coach on your son's team. Good on you. Pray all goes well at Tournament. Tons of prepacking, preparing, protect your travels, travel insurance and trip coverage. Praying the best. Cant wait to see the results. LGA market is busy. Praying for a safe journey no matter how it turns out. Good Luck and lots of it! 🍀🍀🍀

  7. Derek we are convinced that would be a great cruise to join. So let's c work on making va reservation for am interior room. Linda has some casino deals.

That being said, we are also planning on flying into LaGuardia before the cruuse, so what i'm saying is, I support your decision to get the Carnival guarantee..How much extra is that going to cost you?

  8. We used to fly in often the morning of cruises but then we got older and more nervous. We fly out of the Washington DC and usually there about a few flights a day. These days we fly in a day early, except under extreme situations. So many times one day isn't even enough! Unfortunately coming early can add several hundred dollars to the trip.

  9. We have done it and are doing it again this weekend. Flying nonstop Phil to Miami. Flight scheduled to land 9:15am in Miami. Like you we usually go in a day ahead. Retired and cruise 5-8 times a year. We often drive from PA to cruise ports. Take a few days to get there stay in Dania Beach which is very easy to port Everglades and not bad to port of Miami. We have a great travel insurance that we take out for entire year. Only ever got burned once when plane deiced for ever on run way at BWI. Still would have made the ship minus an emergency landing in Jacksonville for fuel. Could have still made it but crew was out of hours. Made claim and got almost all of our money back. Spent some time in Florida and rented a car and drove back to BWI where our car was parked. We take it all in and choose fun. Those that work and maybe there only big trip for year. ALWAYS GO IN DAY BEFORE

  10. Have sailed out of Manhattan. Traffic into that part of the city can get you. We were on “Love Boat Cruise” out of Brooklyn much easier. The cast from the love boat were onboard and Air Supply concert was great. That was Enchanted Princess. .

  11. Given the circumstances you made the best possible choice to create memories on the ball field and the cruise. Celebrate your tournament win on the ship! We have broken this same rule twice with no problems. Sail on 🎉

  12. I thought there is a story out there from another cruise vlog that a person booked their flight through Carnival for a Hawaii cruise. The flight was delayed. They called Carnival while they were delayed but the call was futile. By the time they were able to fly, they got to the port late and the ship had departed. They missed their Hawaiian cruise! Nothing was said about Carnival offering or arranging them to get to the ship or join them at the next port. However, Carnival did say that they would refund them the cost of their cruise after the cruise is over. If this story is true, I think I would just book my flight directly with the airline as the vlogger suggested so that I can make my own changes and not rely on calling Carnival.

  13. My daughter is in a similar situation they are cruising during spring break. a week after their final payment was due the coach of the dance team announced that the try outs for the next year would be on the Friday before break and would last until well after school is out. No option to make it up. Never been done that way before. The cost of a cancellation at that point thousands, insurance purchased doesn’t cover, and literally no late night flights out of our city. So they are going to have to trust an early morning flight to get to Miami . Very nervous . Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong .

  14. After watching this video, I too booked Carnivals Fly2Fun for a cruise on the Venezia in October. I was pleasantly surprised by the pricing of a round trip ticket. Hope it works out well for all of us!

  15. Do you think a non-US citizen with valid US Tourist (B2) visa will be allowed to board in Carnival Closed loop Cruise. I have a friend visiting next month. Also, I have itinerary of Cozumel in the trip, do they need to have a Mexico visa?
