What’s crazy is there was foreshadowing for the rat king in Ellie’s campaign
when Ellie is in the Hillcrest neighborhood and she finds a locked up room in an alley around the area
Theres a whole room of infected people Boris locked up in revenge for selling him out to the WLF before he eventually got infected and is the stalker you see with the crossbow Ellie equips after you kill him in the garage
But yeah the whole room is suppose to be a small scale foreshadow to the rat king that was consisting of multiple infected people from ground 0 20 so years ago all intertwining into a giant blob of the infected
The rat king, makes me wonder what else could be out there. changed by particular circumstances. We see it in The Walking Dead. And now in the last of us. It will be interesting to see if there’s anything else. Out there. My fear is that. Like Maggie in dead city. This particular circumstance has been met in other parts of the world. Meaning there are multiple red kings. Somewhere else. Or sewer dwellers out there. Somewhere exploring the world. Looking for pray. I can imagine, there’s probably more rat kings in Japan, or in walking dead. Sewer dwellers in Japan. The population is too high. It wouldn’t have been sustainable. Once the outbreaks hit.

Maybe Vegas since that was a former QZ and theres storms of infected and with the dust storms and sand I wonder how the infected would adapt to it
